I got this from another group. It will help to keep us wise. HOW “FAKE BANK ALERT” IS DONE AND HOW TO DETECT IT! 'Fake credit alert' scam is carried out using a method called 'Bulk SMS'. This scam is actually simple to carry out because all the scammer needs is your phone number. These scammers already have a special 'high level' SIM cards crafted specifically for the scamming purposes. If the scammer gets your phone number, and bank details, they customize a fake SMS which would look exactly like your bank's credit alert SMS, and then add the amount of money you both agreed on. And within seconds, you'll receive an alert that'll look like it came from your bank. The message will look real and genuine and you won't suspect a thing! HOW TO DETECT “FAKE ALERT” 1. If someone say they transferred money to your account, please make sure that the credit alert you received contains your 'available bank balance'. If the SMS alert does not contain your available balance, then something is wrong, because any authentic SMS alert from your bank must contain the remaining balance in your account. 2. Simply check your account balance using your bank code or via your mobile app. Don't just see the alert and conclude the money is in your account. Or if you have an account manager, call him/her and verify if there has been a transaction in your account. BE WISE! 12 Likes 1 Share |

I am really surprised to visit this thread and still see people driving. It only bespeaks one thing, humans can be very careless. Bolt & uber making the bulk of the money don shut down their offices & u guys are out there risking your lives for how much If u have no savings to take a break for at least a week or two, it means u have been wasting your time! I was not expecting any driver to work this week. Make una use una brain. Italy is in this mess because of carelessness! 8 Likes |

Seun360:When u ask them, u see them saying hunger if u stay indoors, but I believe when we get to the level Italy are now, which we are gradually heading from the look of things, everyone will be forced to stay indoors & adapt. Instead of nipping things in the bud & pay little sacrifice, we will rather wait for things to escalate & pay huge sacrifice... 3 Likes |

chinyce:To me this article doesn't fit in identifying fake alert scam. Anyone who falls to fake alert scam is probably a fool because a bank alert will "always come along or in addition to your previous bank alert text message tray. Some times it may come late or may not even come at all but best way to know is via your banking app. As soon as you log into your banking app it shows your present balance. No one or no driver is too rich not to know his or her previous balance unless u want to make me believe you're an another dangote who can't tell his bank balance. In other ways, I think I'm hanging my hangs callings some miscranks simply because a foolish driver refused to adhere to advice from experience but rather believe he has people who will dedicate their time n hard earn money to get h/h money back. No one shoulf come here and share stories of how rider scam them on fake transfer expecting me to place a call across. Oyo is your case in that if you choose to go against advice. Period! |

xrayj:As for me I didn't even on my app courtesy to my broken phone. Even if my phone was ok I doubt if I would even put it on after my observation on Saturday/Sunday... Even Friday night, I was on the island I saw how taskforce and mobile police where going round locking down club houses... Was in marina on Saturday within 8,9,10pm just 1 req came in on my uber app for almost 45min it was on, i later got a trip in my bolt app after like 20min og waiting and even without a surge. On marina?!! I couldnt believe it. Sunday was even worst, after spending hours in bolt in ikeja I'd to drive down to ICM from Isaac john before I could get a req to agege... All along the way club house where all shutdown with d roads free that was when I knew we in for something serious. I only pray and hope the world comes out of this quickly to finding a lasting cure to this deadly dieses because we nigerians cant afford to sit at home for too long because majority are poor and rely on their daily outing to survive so sit at home will even be deadlier than the corona one nine virus itself. 1 Like |

Felicity0001: Yes, Nigerians really need to stay indoors and help slow the spread of this virus. Nigeria can't afford to tackle this disease if it spread everywhere, world super powers have run out of medical supplies, beds and health workers to tackle it, imagine what would become of a country like Nigeria that's most of her hospitals are not equipped with ventilators, a country were you must make a deposit before any doctor will see you. US is now ranking 3rd in corona virus and employers have started laying off their workers due to hardship. If we allow it spread we will end up staying at home by force and that will go with serious hardship. "Na person wey chop belle full go even fit borrow you money to take pay hospital deposit". Last Friday I ask 2riders out if my car. Picked these two, I really dint know weather to call them couple or bf n gf but from d look they're married couple. From Farm city admiralty way lekki heading to ojodu... To cut it short. Along Osborn way I started hearing noises if kisses and smutches from behind...shuu!!! Inside my car I called them to order... On the 3rd mainland bridge they started again and this time it was even louder. Me! What nonsense! I just pulled over, unlocked my doors, opened my butt. Me: Please get down of my car since you guys can behave yourselves like the adult that you're. The guy was trying to apologies. The stupid woman was trying to claim right by saying some words because she made the req on bolt...i just ignored her Me: I said get down!!! This time with a more loud voice. Rider: how do you expect us to get a ride by this time... Please na bro... Me: I careless, get down! I went straight to my butt while trying to pull out my wheel spiner as they hear me doing that na so them rush out thinking maybe I'm bringing a cutlass or something. Seeing they've highlighted I just entered my car, locked goes then zoomed. Stupid taxify riders inside this corona one nine era. That you're paying for a rider doesn't mean you should mess up my ride which is my holy temple that I depend on to feed my family. Useless things. 12 Likes |

Me I've stopped driving since Sunday.... It doesn't show on the face. It's better to be alive than to covid-19 positive. I've watched a lot of videos of positive patients from other countries and they said it's a painful experience. It's hard to breathe when walking or standing but when you lay down it relieves but kills faster lying down. When there is life, there is hope. Be safe guys. #stayathome 3 Likes |

kodred:3rd mainland bridge to me is one of the best place for them to have privacy to themselves.... When they r done in sure they could easily trek down to iworosoki which is like 500m away. @gspark01 say what's in ur mind let have it, I would have allowed them have a quickie on my car right? Oh I c that I paid for a ride means u can do what ever u want and turn it into a hotel room right in my face. Mr man behave urself ooh. In case you don't know, know now that an attempt to or making love on the car is a polishable offence. I could have driven them down to a police station and make sure they serve 2yrs in jail. So asking them outta my car was even more human. 1 Like |

Felicity0001: You have right to ask them out for that and you were right to do that. But bikonu, next time give them Another chance, since the guy apologised. Im sure they wouldn't attempt such again if you had pardoned them. I had had exchange of words with a rider, only that we didn't exchange punches. I told him I would end the trip if he continued to provoke me, he cooled down afterwards and I completed the trip without uttering any words to each for the duration of the trip which lasted for well over an hour. A rider will likely comport him/herself after a threat of ending the trip so I'm sure those guys wouldn't have done that again if you had give them Another chance. Please do better next time and control your anger towards riders. God bless. 8 Likes |

Felicity0001: What you did was very wrong. Very very wrong. Please try to be careful and apply wisdom in your future endeavours If something had happened to them on that bridge, how would you explain yourself since you would be traced as the last contact among their movements? Why not get to Iyana Oworo and drop them at the bus stop? Everything no be money, car and car. Felicity0001: I'm not going to make excuses for them nor will I try to justify their inability to control their animalistic urges but at the end of the day brother, they are still human beings. It's not safe for a car to stop at 3MB not to talk of human beings. I get that sometimes we might be blinded by anger and do things that we probably won't do on a normal day but what if something happened to them? Believe me, you don't wanna have that type of guilt on your conscience.. 16 Likes |

Chuwaa: Boss easy on Felicity, I honestly can't fault him per say, please folks pardon my observation, lately all dis platform built is boost ego, try to sound political correct & validation, but inbtw that, we r still who we r. @Pharod & Xneg, I salute ur courage... I understand how this job and platform can absorb one, most especially if u don't have mind of ur own, the unnecessary foisting, can make one feel so high and arrived. @Felicity, it has been done and can't b undone and at the same time I believe no man really knows, following the rules of e hailing and ur believe u maybe right, but let's put it this way... The first rule in life generally is safety, then we can either put our faith or human face in place of each other... You can't say u r d most righteous man on earth, then wot happened to ur human face, how r u sure dose 2 ppl made it out if 3rd MB? What if deh have grabbed u and turn d story ard? if God decide to harshly punish ur sin's, will u survive today? Yes! You have warn them, but I think we need to understand, overlooking breed peace of mind, a man with patient have an inestimable value in him and to cap it the man apologised. Please boss, don't get to high on what u read here, have ur own guts and instinct. When u r out, think about home, ur family and how u plan to rest ur head at night when u get home, that in some cases help to put some things in check, the rider u have with u in most cases end after 80 mins, so stick ur eyes to ur goals, u honestly can't change d world or human, let God do his job.
