Dear Moderators Thank you for all that you do. May God bless and reward you. Please I need your advise, I have received my Original Passport Request letter for my online student application but when I went to the Vfs office here in Abuja Nigeria to submit my passport I was informed that they are no longer collecting passport for now. My questions are: 1) I received the letter on the 19th of March and I have 30days to submit the passport, would the period of passport submission be extended I am supposed to resume school May 4th. 2)Someone advised I send my passport via FedEx to CIC in Ottawa Canada for Stamping. Can I send it? 3)in case the school defers to September because of the travel restrictions caused by covid 19, would my Visa be extended by IRCC to cover the duration of study. Please I would really appreciate your kind response. Best Regards 1 Like 1 Share |

I graduated from a Federal University here in Nigeria with a CGPA of 3.43/5.0 and sadly, that's a 2.2 I have gone to the WES website and have converted my CGPA to 4.0 scale and I got 3.14/4.0 If I convert my last 2 years in the university, I will get 3.40/4.0 I have seen on some university websites that the minimum required CGPA is 3.0 I do not have a Second class upper. Please, is Canada Masters Education for me? Thank you. |

Goodday everyone. I am confused here as to the best method to use for my sop. I am about writing my Sop right now, but i would like to know which is better between using subtopics to explain, in details, my points or just paragraphs. Please which one would be ideal for an excellent Sop? |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by SonofGod2000: 5:30pm On Mar 24, 2020 |
mantleouchtele: Bro/ madam, You don't have to be ungenerous with information. This is why you are not getting response from experts here. You have been asked to share your time line/ documents / application details to allow others learn and those under delay know what to do, but you did not and now you are seeking expert opinion on your case. You go see, stay there. 2 Likes |

mantleouchtele: Not only here to ask questions oh. This is a forum where we help each other as best as we can. So kindly do well to share the timeline of your application. Date of application ? Medical request or medical upfront? School/ program? Funding or did you pay tuition fees? Any other details that could help others and be kind enough to respond to others who may need your help. Now in response to your questions: 1. I suppose the period of passport submission will be extended and from experience anything 30days , 60days giving my CIC if affected by anything serious will be overlooked. 2. Do not yield to anybody’s advise who is not a VFS worker, CIC or has personal experience. So that you won’t regret anything. 3. Yes your visa will be extended to cover the duration of your study permit should it be affected by COVID-19, the school deferment or anything legal and proven. In conclusion, I would have expected someone like you, who has been to vfs abuja to have asked these and many more questions and by now you would have been the best person to give us first hand info. 1 Like |

Adetunji001: The truth is that both have worked for different people at different times. No two applications are the same. Believe and faith is another that works or goes a long way. So use your style as long as you cover all grounds or concerns of the VO. I wish you luck. 1 Like |

mantleouchtele:1. It’s only CIC that is privy to that information. 2. You sef, how can you submit passport in Ottawa? Do you think they are not working remotely too? It’s CIC that would answer that too. 3. School deferring has no bearing on that. It’s your study permit that would reflect that. Be patient until the pandemic reduces at least. |

What can you tell us that was significant chances btw both apps or what was the change that you think worked for you this time? Thanks as you respond 1 Like |

Dear Obehi, Thanks for your response. With regards to me being at the VFS office, those people are very rude and full of themselves. They act as if they are too much and avoid giving too much details Thanks anyway for the feedback, please for the record as I responded to Son of God. In an earlier post , I had mentioned I would reply back with my timeline but I fell ill. I am willing to assist anyone and share any information 4 Likes |

Dear Obehi, I am female and my dad was a co-sponsor. The additional documents which I added in my second application was: 1. Affidavit of return 2. Letter of explanation- I queried why I was denied the first application that I had proved my intentions to study( I was denied based on purpose of visit in the first application), I was polite oh! I also attached my email correspondence with other universities in other countries to show Canada was not a do or die affair 3. I also attached a Newspaper publication Where one of the universities advertised Programs for 2019/20 but did not include the course at Masters level 2 Likes |

Good day all. Please a question regarding SOP. I read somewhere about the need to include a study plan in your SOP. Please what type of information should be included as part of the study plan? |

Adetunji001:As for me I am using sub topics. I find it helps to keep the material well arranged. So far I have the following: 1. Background/Introduction. 2. Why a masters from Canada? 3. Study plan. (Not sure what information should be a part of this paragraph. Then a conclusion |

Some people are of the attitude. You are such a nice lady we need on this forum. When did you apply for the first study permit application? Did you pay part of the tuition in the first application? Which school /province did you apply to in both applications? A guy in the same shoe with you was asked to hold on till April 15 and all issues would have been resolved by then. Once again dear sister am sorry. Please it is your time. The Lord will go with you. |
