Why Are Infected Politicians Excluded From The NCDC Update? by Sanchez01: 7:35pm On Mar 24, 2020 |
1. Atiku's son 2. Abba Kyari 3. Bala Mohammed (Bauchi State Governor) 4. 3 Staff of Abba Kyari Seven confirmed cases and the NCDC neither reported nor included them in its count of confirmed cases. Why are politicians deliberately excluded from the NCDC update? We keep getting COVID-19 result of our politicians on news platforms and not from the NCDC who is supposedly monitoring all cases and reporting the number of confirmed cases in the country. Should we be economical with something as serious as this? Lalasticlala 5 Likes |

Sanchez01: Who told you they were excluded? Do you know the names of the 44 confirmed cases that NCDC is reporting? NCDC added two confirmed cases to the initial 42 today and that brings the total number of confirmed cases to 44. They also reported that the two new cases were confirmed in Bauchi and FCT. So, what other information do you need? 5 Likes |

ZKOSOSO:Not just the CoS' alone. When Atiku announced his son tested positive to COVID-19, I stalked the NCDC handle on Twitter to see if it would be modified to include the discovery but it never did. Abba Kyari's was never updated as well just as that of his three staff and that of the Bauchi State governor. These guys are actively playing politics during a time as this. |

NCDC is not in the business of playing politics or naming victims. Even the deceased victim of the virus was not named it was left for the media to do. They have left politics for you guys on Nairaland being your forte and all that. |

seunmsg:Each time a new case is reported, the NCDC makes sure to briefly tell the source and definitely the state the patient got confirmed. Other than that of the commoners, five individuals from the political arena have been confirmed but the NCDC have failed to update this. Perhaps we wait for the NCDC to mention 'BAUCHI', then we will know Bala is being referred to. Or have you heard the NCDC mention any patient from Bauchi so far? 1 Like |

SirVintageCock: What do you mean by “they miraculously posted the update”? What is miraculous in a twitter post? NCDC has been posting daily updates since the index case was reported in February so this is not a miracle. The tweet in my screenshot was posted over one hour ago. Instead of you guys to follow the official handle and get yourself properly informed, you will be running around Nairaland posting false information just to get cheap likes. 2 Likes |

seunmsg:One in Abuja today? Is it just some commoner or supposedly Abba Kyari? How about the 3 staff of Abba Kyari who tested positive? Note that the NCDC handle claims 'as at 6:25 PM' but only mentions ONE in Abuja. As at 7 hours ago, Abuja's figure was 7. Media houses reported that there have been three extra, all from the office of Kyari but from that 7 hours ago till now, only one has been added, leaving a possible four out. Abuja should have nothing less than four new cases today and not one.
