There has to be a way to protect the vulnerable. Health care shouldn’t be left in the hands of capitalist. There’s no reason why the US cannot have “free” universal health care system being funded tax.

Why should a fresh graduate be burden with huge student loans to be serviced immediately he get a job and once he loses a job the student loan keeps increasing. Why can’t America have a tertiary education that is being funded by taxpayers? Ask Oga Dayo how much he paid yearly during his time at OAU compared to the amount tertiary students are paying yearly in America. Why should big corporation get tax breaks when they donate some few millions? What then is their CSR? The only time I believe corporations should get tax breaks is when they build any infrastructure. Just like how Dangote Group is currently constructing the badagry road.

Why can’t govt. ensure that these corporations pay their workers living wage? Paid sick leave, bonuses and other consemurate allowances? They will still remain billionaires but some of their wealth would have trickled down to a lot of people.

One of my classmates who left Ife during our 1yr strike after year 3, got to UK, he became a CCIE like 6yrs later. He ditched everything about that free Nigerian education and he made it big

All these millionaires and billionaires in the same US who are paying my salary and 10 times richer than me all went to these same schools got these same student loans and made it, and have left me behind. That is my mates in same America have over a million in retirement many assets because he started his career off at 22yrs despite the loans and preparing to retire at 45yrs while my free education still have to come to his country hustle and playing catch up and dem no born me well to think of retiring then unless I win a lottery

In technical fields, most Nigerian education do not give you what you need to compete in the current world

If you study Computer Engineering or Computer Science in a Nigerian school and no outside certification or self-improvement how do you compete with your fee-paying colleagues who were taught with up to date technology in the west

Most Nigerians who made it abroad, had to recalibrate and study all over.

I studied chemical engineering, All the Navier stokes and Fourier series we were cramming in Ife, My friend that went to Georgia Tech studied the same course never wasted much time cramming all those useless formulas because all those things were just no longer relevant again

But I should be glad I got a free but almost worthless education, that has little relevance in todays world

If big corporation will enjoy bail out by Govt funded by taxpayer money whenever crisis hit, then those big corporation can be taxed heavily when they are back on their feet.
