You registered through which exam organization? IDP or MOD or British council
Aristotle16:
I wrote my ielts British council exam on the 13 of February. I have checked my result online it was actually impressive. The challenge I am having now is how to get the hard copy of my result as most schools I am applying to are near deadline. Please i need help on how to go about this. It is about 1 month + and I haven't got my result yet

Hello everyone...
I wrote the just concluded Federal government scholarship exam on BEA for Postgraduate Studies on the 19/02/2020, but up till now, I have not seen my result nor heard anything as appertains to the result. I have equally asked some people that I collected their contacts after the exam, but yet, same story.

Please I will be very glad if anyone has valid information as per the situation.

Hello Guys, please I need an advice in order not to look very foolish.

I did my IELTS test on 13th of January in Lagos with British Council & came out with this result: L7.0 R7.0 S7.5 W6.0 I was very sad, felt like crying that I failed.

Then a friend of mine told me this morning that I can request for a Remark of Writing 15k. My fear is what I re-mark and I get the same score or lower. Has anyone IN HISTORY tried remarking and got a better score?

Also how long does it take?

Please guys, help me out here I don't want to take a foolish step. Any contribution is welcomed, criticism and all.

Hello Guys, please i am scheduled to write IELTS test tomorrow the 28th of March. But with the present situation of things in Lagos and Nigeria at large , I am not sure it will hold. Unfortunately I have not received any mail from British Council concerning the test, whether it has been postponed or not. I have sent them a mail, they haven't responded . I put call through to them via a number, nobody picked. Please what do I do now? I need help...

All IELTS tests have been postponed till further notice in Nigeria. Mine was scheduled for last week but I was informed not to bother coming despite that I had done my speaking test earlier. You will most likely be refunded your money. Let's pray this Corona virus dies down soon

I wrote IELTs GT for the first time in December 2019. My score: listening 9, reading 8, writing 8, speaking 7.5

I should have scored 8 in the speaking part but i had a glitch..the topic i was given to speak on had 2 options, the option i spoke on was something i personally didnt have much interest in. So it messed up my flow in the test.

I had just 1 week to prepare for the test and most of the practice material i used was from this website:
ieltadvantage.com

Theres no passing or failing of IELTs, rather theres achieving of the score you need for your purpose. I needed to write the ielts and score CLB 5 for the new Canada home support worker immigration pilot. I have a blog here that explains the process:
https://caregiverimmigration..com/?m=1

Maybe you might be interested. Its an easier way to immigrate to Canada: it has a low IELTs score, low educational qualification and no settlement funds.

All the best

This is a good result, Writing spoilt it. Quickly apply for a remark, who knows it could change to 7 or 7.5.if you haven't gotten the response to your question, you could ask on the Canadian immigration express entry thread in the travel section. Best wishes in your remark.
