when you look at your finance cost to your earnings. You have to know what to do. Borrowing to pay dividend is just not a sensible thing to do. If you want to raise capital, paying dividend is also not the way to go. So my advice to Wapco really will be pay down on your debts and improve your liquidity ratio and make the company more profitable. Shareholders will enjoy in the long run

@rebekah, you always mention debts, which company does not have? Moreso how much at the end of q3 2019. tell sir grin

See reduction in OPEX. I am even expecting a buy back from WAPCO grin

Pleasing shareholders with dividend when the company is not doing well is a minus for any Board. But it is always a moral burden for the management who has earned nice salaries and allowances and yet refuses to reward their shareholders. So they are always compelled to pay dividend even if they have to borrow.
Mcy56:

What about UACN that still paid dividend despite their debts?
I will see what is pursuing me before I flee in this one, I've kept it for longer than I used to do. smiley

Them be chief cornerstone.
Without them the financial sector will be shaking.

Maybe change of ownership is fast approaching.

if you took the time to read about Lafarge Wapco in the last 10 years. You will understand some issue better. It will come good for short-termers that get in now but the Long term of the company is a bit shaky.

Its not an attack on America

Trump's foolishness and non challantness is largely to blame for these deaths and the spread

From the way he handled the issue ab initio

To allowing under your watch 90% of your medical supplies and drug come from China (which btw you have marked as a trade adversary and slammed tariff after tariff)
To refusing to invoke the defence production act
To disbanding the medical emergency response team

To defunding the CDC

And the list is endless

May God never allow a demagogue like Trump lead my Nigeria

Now he is saying that things should be normal by Easter Sunday even when his medical advisers are singing the opposite
He is still insisting

May God be with America sha

Germany is doing a good job in containing this.
And Britain to an extent
Your problem is with Trump. So your opinion is biased

I forsee stocks going down. I could not see any push up yet in the near term. Nigeria could be heading for another recession,
Quarter 2 ,3 GDP would tell our story grin

@Mcy, you and I are in the same boat. I have averaged down from 15+ to N12.57
I’m not about to throw away all my patience of many months based on panic.
We move.

Lol. We see what is pursuing us first. grin
The result should be out next week.
Board meeting is slated for Monday 30th March, I sincerely hope they wouldn't postpone it.
I prayed the waiting will be worth it IJN.

Hence your reading of my write up is what is biased.

All these things are his actions and inactions

Why the China cover up since last year.

Covid-19: We are not hearing from the Israelites, how are they fearing and what are they doing about this Nje corona?

A lot had been said already about Wapco it is better we wait for their result to come out.

Mean while they say their board meeting is on Monday. I anticipate dividend plus bonus.

Good day Investors!

I presently run an account with my analog brokers, and plan to open another with Morgan.

Can I run two accounts at the same time?

Thanks!

I expect a major equity to go up @5% or higher today. If that happens, then next week could see a temporary bull. Else, we continue with the flat market for some time. But I don't see us going down massively any longer, we are already @ recession levels.

FCMB still looks cheap to me at 1.50.
If the result is good like that of fidelity, it will close the gap btw them. I got small units at 1.43 during the panic.
About to go below 1.50 again, wouldn't be bad to pick some units below 1.50 for those interested..... that's if it goes below.

NB: Just my opinion and observation.

Make the thing come down small for son of man to enter..... wink grin

Zee and GT doesn't seems to be tired despite cautious trading and fear....
There was renewed interest in UBA and it moved up to 5.35....
Still observing.....

It refused to go below 1.50 for the past few days .....but son of man should continue to stay on queue, it may or may not fall below the support. grin
I wonder who the sellers are, they're not done selling.

For those who don't understand how market sentiments work, look @ the rise in Sterling Bank even after a 3kobo dividend announcement that some think is very disappointing.

These ones don't follow dividend like oga Oracle said.
So also Unity, Jaiz and transcorp, dividend or not, they just do their things at their time.

In other news, wapco seller @ 9.10 is not done yet, the stock is ready to move but he wouldnt allow it.........he should just park for one side and allow it move biko. grin
