Hi everyone here, I have read many comments and I'm really inspired to join the club pretty soon. Strongly considering a GS 300 2006 edition largely because the dealer is convincing me it's one of the best cars. I will appreciate if someone can share with me a detailed and objective review of the car. Please note this will be my first car. The car I'm considering buying is a foreign used with about 120k mileage.

My 05 es330 ran p0420 & p0430 codes, something to do with catalyst efficiency.
I used spacers (see pic) and the CEL disappeared. Car has been running 3 months now without issues, only jerks sometimes when I rev from a slow speed.

Question is how will i know if my cats are toast, now that the sensors are not feeding the system accurate data because of the spacers?

Wash that engine body and underneath, and observe where oil seeps from.

Then fix it using abro gasket glue.

Got the RX 5 days ago Tokunbo but the remote wasn’t giving signal to the car at all... I knew it wasn’t the battery Cos the red light on it blinks full red when button is pressed on the remote, but I still went ahead to chnage the battery and it’s still thesame, I read online about reprogramming the remote by closing doors 2 times and other intructions but I seem not to get it right... can anyone help further pls open the car door with the key is tiring especially the trunk

I was stupid to believe that the battery was dead

My Rx 330 05 has plenty problems..the rear wheels make a roaring noise when I hit the gas to 60km. The rear wiper does not work anymore. And the glove box latch is broken and won't open. Apart from that it's a great car. Please any advise on the above issues will be appreciated. Many thanks.

The fix would definitely cost you some good cash but it's very fixable.

I am in Enugu. Like how much should I budget for fixing them? Esp that of the rear wheel noise issue cos it's really annoying.

Your rear noise could be the wheel bearing or rear differential. Have it checked first.
The wiper motor could be damaged or disconnected or wiring tampered with,

Have a mechanic check it. As for the glove box, snap the glove box handle lemme see something.

@Fingalin. Check the 4th character of your VIN(number) by the door of your driver side. If its G, it's front wheel drive. If it's H, it's all wheel drive.

Thanks @ Niyoni..it's actually H. Which leads me to this pictures attached...I noticed that place is greasy. It's not dropping oil yet, just greasy. I guess it's the differential. Please advise on what to do or I should ignore it. The roaring noise is still there when I drive the car. Please see attached pictures.

It's locked. Insert your key in and turn it either counterclockwise or clockwise to unlock.
