Sewgon79: I always said you and Tao are foolish boys. Look at the colonial era rankings of Nigeria kings by your British colonial masters. Oba of Benin as always been greater than your Oni.

Sewgon79: Poor you. I sense disappointment in you seeing a 1917 British document that ranked Oba of Benin much higher than your small Ooni and your Ijebu king lol. Everyone knows it’s Awolowo that elevated Ooni to his present position. See the document again and cry.

Instead you are scanning 2013 Magazine published and make photocopy and mistaken it for Gazette. I can see that now, you are the most dumb human in existence. I don't need to argue with foolish head and brainless like you. 1 Like |

davidnazee: Hahaha! Your supposed "1917 British (ranking) document" is in reality nothing more than a magazine printed in the year 2015 by perhaps some Bini "desperado". Refer to the bottom-right corner of your so-called British document to notice its 2015 date of publication as highlighted in the attachment below. Your fake so-called document just failed. Try harder boy Cheers! cc: Sewgon79 3 Likes 2 Shares

Notice that the attachment below is a screenshot of one of your comments (where you also attached screenshots of a piece of anonymous writting). In case you're wondering why I attached a screenshot of one of your comments, my motive here is only to avoid being banned as your mod friends wouldn't allow me reply to this particular comment of yours without placing a ban on me. I guess someone is dead-scared. And my reply to this comment of yours will likewise follow separately as screenshots too for exactly the same reasons --- that is, to avoid the ban again. There is always a way to make the truth apparent, so relax. See your comments attached here. cc: davidnazee 1 Like 2 Shares

ghostwon: In reply to your reposting of the already refuted, see below for a reminder of what the refutation looks like. Hey insecure little one, listen up: First of all: In response to your blasphemy and sacrilege against Ile-Ife, I hereby present the following topmost tip of the ice-berg before you, prior to my intended post which I will publish perhaps tommorrow: "... Oba Oguola (Oba of Benin) --- supposed to have reigned about A.D. 1280 --- applied to his spiritual overlord, the Oni of Ife, for the service of a bronze founder to teach his people to make the memorial bronzes formerly imported from Ife, ..." Reference: Margaret Plass, "The Art of Benin: An Evaluation Based on Discussions with William Fagg, Deputy Keeper of Ethnography in the British Museum" See also: https://www.penn.museum/sites/expedition/the-art-of-benin/) for details. Secondly: Talking about low self-esteem, who must deem a kingdom as imperial before you (ghostwon) will agree to regard it as such?? Who?? Moreover, I am waiting patienyly for the evidence to support your imagination that only Benin was an empire in the southern Nigeria region. In fact, Benin is more known merely as a kingdom than as an empire by most authoritative historical sources, in contrast to Oyo. But to strangle you with some very obvious facts anyway, the Great Oyo Empire is so referred even by some of the sources from your slave-masters, viz. Encyclopaedia Britannica. See https://www.britannica.com/place/Oyo-empire and also see attached screenshot. For Ife's primacy and imperial status, that is not obvious except to academic historians, and that will be the focus of my intended post. Please don't attempt to hasten my punishment on you. And for the umpteenth time, your attached anime/cartoon drawing has already been trashed. So also is your map of Benin. davidnazee: There is actually an interesting way by which lies exposes itself. Your attached anonymous piece of writing which you intended as the evidence for your wild and rash laughable claim (that the Bini conquered the Ijebu people) turned out to be the actual evidence against you. Your attached anonymous piece of writing shows at least two imporatant things: 1. That the author was clearly uncertain what the name Jaboe refers to. 2. It shows how unreliable and undependable the story of the supposed conquering of the so-called Jaboe by Benin actually is. This is because the source of the story, Olfert Dapper (despite having written about Benin and other places in the world) actually never travelled outside of the Netherlands throughout his entire life. Yet this is the same man (the primary source) whom all Benin bloggers and propagandist quote (without knowing) whenever they paint the infamous imaginary laughable Benin with street lights, shiny walls, clean street, etc. In sum, Ijebu was never described as Jaboe in any classical European writting. The known variant spelling for "Ijebu" in a classical European document is put as "Geebuu". And this is found in a 16th century note by a Portuguese trader on the West African coast, Duarte Pacheco Pereira (an actual visitor and eyewitness unlike your Olfert Dapper). Pereira notes in relation to the Ijebu city wall: "Twelve or thirteen leagues upstream from Lagos there is a large town called Geebuu, surrounded by a very large ditch." Reference: Duarte Pacheco Pereira: Esmeraldo de Situ Orbis, quoted in R. Smith; Kingdoms of the Yoruba, p. 75. So, good luck to you searching for the Jaboe which your Benin conquered. cc: Sewgon79 3 Likes 2 Shares |

I don't even get time for these ineffectual Bini revisionists. It's an insult to be comparing one of the most populous, most popular, most successful and greatest culture and religion people of Africa with an offshoot like Bini, a minority of minorities. Ibadan was a greater power than Bini in all ramifications, not to even mention Ìfẹ or Oyo. Right now I'm watching documentary on Yoruba religions and cultures in the Americas and Carribbean. The white commentator just said, "Yoruba religion is the greatest import from Africa." 3 Likes |

TAO11: I see that you are still bothered by the evidence I showed you lol. What difference does it make if a Portuguese man spell it as Geebuu and an English man spell it as Jaboe? Everyone know that they are referring to Ijebu.. bro u can’t change history. |

Well I won't argue because I know that there is no amount of years lies goes, the truth will surely come out. I like my other friends, TAO11 because he always come up with concrete evidence. davidnazee: Lol. English man ke? Oga, you have no clue what you're talking about. 1. Dapper is Dutch. 2. And Dapper never travelled out of the Netherlands his entire life. 3. Contrary to your imagination that "everyone know that ... (Dapper) ... (was) referring to Ijebu", even your unamed author, citing Dapper, quite clearly indicates that no one knows what JAbOe refers to. His guess makes it blatantly clear. 4. So, not only does Dapper have no idea what, where, or who Jaboe refers to (as he clearly never left the Netherlands), he also offers no "geographical" description whatsoever (if any exist) of his Jaboe. 4. Comparing that to the clear Portuguese note on Geebuu which gives an unmistaking geographical and monumental description of Ijebu is very ridiculous. You shall be alright! 2 Likes 3 Shares |

davidnazee: I guess Periera was a blue-man when he uttered and documented "Geeboo" in the 1500s. Oga, provide extant documentary evidence to substantiate your equation of a certain JAbOe with our noble Ijebu kingdom, just as I have done in the case of Geeboo. Shun kindergaten excuses, and provide evidence instead, boy! 2 Likes 3 Shares |

TAO11: Evidence about Ijebu? Why will I bother myself about a small village that has no history or was never a Kingdom to be reckoned with. Nothing fascinating about Ijebu You should talk about Oyo and leave irrelevant places like Ijebu or Ife. You can praise Ijebu or Ife if that’s your hometown but don’t start comparing or equating them to mighty and renowned empires. |
Re: In Benin, The Governor Kneels To Greet The King, But Not So In Other Kingdoms.. by TAO11(f): 4:32pm On Mar 28, 2020 |
davidnazee: Did you just say why will you bother to provide evidence to back up your own claim? Despite using you for entertainment, I genuinely feel pity for you at this point. Lol. Listen up lad, you're better off zipping up your mouth and not make a claim, if you're clueless about how to substantiate it. He who makes a claim has the burden of proof. Read up on onus probandi. Ironacally, the evidence for your Ijebu claim was exactly what you attempted with your JAbOe failure. Are you a living contradiction, ni? 1 Like 1 Share |

TAO11: Shut up boy. Ijebu came into the discussion when u or your brother mentioned it and I proved him wrong. If u want to discuss Ijebu then u should be the one providing evidence that Ijebu was a mighty Kingdom, had vassal states, many wars and conquests. Provide such evidence or Ijebu remains a small village, vassal to Benin Kingdom, no history and nothing fascinating about it. |
