Emescot:Corona only comes with contact, with an infected person. That is why your travel history is key. If they wasted a test kit for you, when those really infected comes there will be nothing to test them. NCDC is responding to a pandemic and they have to be prudent with scarce resources. https://www.nairaland.com/5762126/covid-19-video-ncdc-officials-taking 4 Likes |

Nodogragra4me: They don’t understand there are cabals bigger than Trump who MUST make their money before u start talking of any cure or vaccine or such. U can’t just sidetrack them and start saying some drug seems to work. That’s one of the pitfalls of capitalism, though I still think it is better than the alternative. 1 Like

What are all of you people saying? Did you read the guy experience well, or just judging from your perspective AIT likewise carried a news similar to same of the OP. This shows that our government never ready to tackle this Corona Virus. The worst thing also is that one can't carry out the test in a government hospital. Is this really a country 2 Likes |

The response to the outbreak in this country has been very poor, we have been mostly reactive and not proactive. The truth is that we should be shifting attention to mass testing and treating people presenting symptoms before their condition worsens. We could have stopped this at the border but didn't, we were already congratulating ourselves in helping one Italian. Our laxity in monitoring incoming travellers is starting to bite us in the ass. 1 Like |

Dalby:are you immortal? Do you think your life or those of your loved ones is guaranteed if/when a serious outbreak happens? Do you know how long ago Corona became a global problem? Did we not have enough time to prepare? The Nigerian index case came long before that of Ghana and South Africa. How many tests has Nigeria done since this time. Juxtaposed with that of Ghana and south Africa you'll see how much Nigeria has disgraced herself. Why is the government so concerned about keeping the "numbers" low by not taking enough tests when they know the implications will far outweigh the perceived picture they're trying to paint to the international community so it seems they have it under control. Nigeria will work the day the brains of her people begin to work. 3 Likes |

Stay indoor with hunger . Watch as crime rate will rise Watch how bodies will pile up At this time only the strong will survive, Nigeria death rate will make italy look like joke. The government is a joke starting from that long a** emergency number to how un serious the hospitals are. I mean did y'all see sydney video? Brace for impact and protect yourself from cannibalism, armed robbery, and covid-19. 1 Like |

As long as it doesn't generate or brings money from it, Nigeria government will never be serious about it... It's just as if you are calling an MTN customers care line, it will take hours before they would answer your call.. Nothing is serious in this country, imagine setting up a 11 digits number for EMERGENCY. What if someone is sick and going through difficult times, who will think of dialing an 11 digits number This county is FVCK Our leaders are USELESS and BASTARD 3 Likes |

Well, the nation is on autopilot... Everyman for himself. If or when we all survive this, let it be known to all that it had nothing to do with the failed leadership of this nation... If I ever hear any sycophant make useless noise on this platform again... You all can see the open show of shame of NCDC and health ministry... This failure is monumental and reproachable!!! |

Mightymanna:TIGRITIS, is this your own idea of good leadership? I really pity you. And to think you were saying amen when someone said God will handle your life the way Buhari is handling Nigeria! You clearly don't know what you are wishing yourself When curse start taking effect on your life, you will never know it is because of some stupid comments you made on social media. You better be careful what you wish for yourself. You will be condemned by your words and be saved by your words 1 Like |

This story is similar to what my colleague experienced some few days ago. He even had to visit the NCDC office, but they kept him waiting for hours without attending to him. He had to leave without attention. It is sad that even in this critical time we are still being unserious. The govt is only ibterested in WHO money 1 Like |
