Hello guys , I have a question to ask as regards this new NIN . I heard that the NIN system is what is now linked to the immigration system to produce passports. What I mean is that, for those who want a change of data and have not yet applied for NIN can easily apply for the NIN on their new data in order to do their change of data on the new passport without paying any unnecessary money to any immigration officer for a change of information. As anyone already tried this ? |

In as much as you have bvn number, you have been assigned with a NIN already. Check Nimc website for code to check your NIN via ussd. But ur make sure ur dob in bvn record is the same with the one you intend to correct with Nigeria immigration service. |

Thanks for your reply bro! So as it stands now, there’s no point for anyone bribing his way through any immigration officials for any change of data in as much as he has not applied for NIN or BVN before? With the informations I intend to change, I make sure it is in my NIN and BVN when applying in order to get the new passport with the desired new informations ? |

smut:the NIN doesn't give you leeway to change your information on the passport. your data is already capture in immigration database, NIN is meant to compliment it not override it. NIN must now have the same data as the intended one on the passport. 1 Like |

Please how do I go about with a change of date of birth? My kid sister was born 2001 but they used 1994, she went with the house aid who wasn't really educated that much..she ended up not using it since 2016 due to the error, how can we change it to 2001? She needs it for school as she intends schooling in the U.S by August. We're based in Abuja...Thank you |

angelbammy19: Please go back to the place of issue to complain. I think they can rectify it there since it was recently issued to her. |

steric58:your national id card must bear the new date of birth you're changing to. you have to change the date of birth on your nimc card first before you can effect the change on your passport. |

Re: Changing The Date Of Birth On My International Passport by omolorlarh: 2:33pm On Jul 11, 2020 |
Knight2: It is possible. For mine, I renewed my passport first in Lagos then it was sent to Abuja on my behalf to effect the change. The reason why we go to Abuja is for biometrics and capturing which I already did in Lagos and was valid for six months. If I didn't make the correction within six months then I would have needed to travel to Abuja. PS: Ensure the person is genuine. Most people can't be trusted. |
