We must use law of physics to analyze the crater, regardless of the blast agent that caused it. Back when America was fighting in Fallujah and the insurgents were using IEDs there were similar craters of lesser scale but resulting from explosives buried into the ground with heat and vibration sensors placed on the road surface. A small car can pass over the sensor and not cause a reaction but if a large truck, typical of the American reinforced Armored Vehicles, approach it, the vibration alone could set off the sensor and cause an ERUPTION with upward force that lifts the truck about two storeys up in the air before it freed-drops back to ground and disintegrates. This crater in Akure shows motive. A pre-arranged deployment. A choreographed act! When an explosive discharges on the surface, it disperses force in all directions because it is uncontrolled, uncontained and not directed....zero choreography! Here are questions to ask - 1. Where are debris from the transporting truck. A crater this deep will not leave a truck or trucks in one piece. In fact it cannot be driven out of there because the explosion will also cause a secondary explosion in its fuel tank and burn it down, assuming it remained in one piece, which is impossible. 2. There is a road, and then we see two dark tracks that looks like rails or pipes. It cannot be railway tracks considering the sharp turn angle towards the edge of the crater. What are those tracks? 3. What is the relationship of the damaged buildings to the crater? There is no connection on the ground between the two. If this image was from drone it can be scaled to connect the nearby buildings to the crater. Why has that not been done? 4. The shape of the crater looks like the mouth of a funnel and is uniform around. The bottom-center of the crater is the point from which the energy force distributed out. The force went off from a subterranean core and erupted upward and outward, exhuming soil. 5. An explosion from surface down into the ground penetrates a hole...not a funnel! There is a bigger and hidden agenda than the police have owned up to. Now, since the police acted as the mouthpiece for this agenda....they must also account for why their story is not supported by the physics and character of the crater. 53 Likes 7 Shares |

iamphilips: What's that curved track? Where's is the driver/assistant of the truck cos police said they parked before explosion. A vehicle travelling from Akure to Owo/Benin will be driving on one lane and a vehicle coming from Owo/Benin to Akure will be other. According to the police, they stated the truck parked. Where do we have that crater? Can anyone confirm? 9 Likes

Explorers:baba, what do you think is the cause of the explosion? |
Re: Aerial Pictures Of Akure Explosion by Nobody: 5:53am On Mar 29, 2020 |
confirm asteroid strike,if it was a truck bomb it would take two truck loaded with explosives to dig such crater, and besides there must be debris or particles of the truck scartered 500-800 meters from the scene, the only bomb capable of evaporating particles of a truck in an explosion is nuke and believe me if that was a nuke? no witness would have been able to visit that scene and come back alive due to high level of radiation activity, and that place would take over a hundred years to recover from the radiation.go read about the Chernobyl nuclear incident(which was a mild case), why all these lecture?i dont want you guys to live in panic but rather in preperation that time to time the universe would hull stones (asteroids)at the earth wich means nothing built on earth stays permanent ,away from Chernobyl a closely similar incident happened in Russia when an asteroid exploded over a city ,some people were able to take pictures before the explosion.stay safe and live wise. 9 Likes |

Explorers: ...and it is uniform in guage. Whatever that track is has clue to something on that ground. When you dig ground the loose dirt sinks back in and you have to scoop and throw it to surface to get depth into the ground. Similarly when the ground blows up loose dirt and sand fills back in as the side walls collapse. So the bottom we are looking at here is not the true bottom of the crater....we are looking at loose dirt that filled back in. Is something buried under that loose dirt that could serve as clue to piece together the puzzle? 10 Likes |

Wow am impressed by the thinking heads on this thread, I didn’t know we have smart guys like this on Nairaland zombies over to you answer all the questions that the high IQ guys have asked about the explosion? Do you still think its quarry dynamite or so called nig police ordinance? If eventually it turns out to be police, they must be sued, made to pay for all the destruction and also build a brand new road for that community. The Useless IGP can collect money from his sars boys they have been ripping off nigerians for millennia 3 Likes |

GamalNasser:You can't be serious. Are you seriously telling me that it's not dynamite sticks they use in blasting stones? I know that they used to mix things inside. Let me tell you something. I am from Akamkpa LGA in Cross River State..(Netim to be precise) we are the headquarters of granite and limestone in this area. We have up to 30 quarries here producing chippings, we have UNICEM (now Lafarge) cement factory at Mfamosin. I cannot remember the year I first saw how they blast stone here. I don't think you have ever entered where there is stone before yet you are arguing. 5 Likes |

GamalNasser: Thanks for your vivid explanation. Even a primary 4 pupil can understand this w/o stress. As for me, I think these are warning attacks both that of Lagos and Akure. And if the government doesn't comply by paying up then a more damaging attack will follow suite. We all the cops lied to our faces when trying to take responsibility for the explosion. His eyes says it all... besides, how can you say a TNT ladden truck was escorted and no casualties was recorded 10 Likes 1 Share |

God bless you , i dont know how ppl will believe that a dynamite no matter how powerful will excavate such amount of earth , secondly they have not shown us the left over of the exploded vehicle , at least there should be some remnants from the exploded vehicle My own take on this issue is that that was a meteor that hit Nigeria , it is not an unusual thing and even common in some countries , this particular one was even observed in Usa but they couldn't pinpoint the actual place it landed and they even reported that a meteor landed on earth. https://www.ibtimes.com/us-residents-watch-asteroid-hits-earth-creates-bright-fireball-event-2947635 "Residents from various states in the U.S. spotted a bright fireball streaking across the night sky. Based on eyewitness reports, the fireball was most likely caused by a small asteroid colliding with Earth and burning up in the atmosphere. According to the data gathered by the American Meteor Society, the incident occurred on March 25 at around 10:40 p.m. EDT. In total, the organization received seven eyewitness reports from different individuals." As noted in the reports, the recent fireball event was spotted by residents from different states in the U.S. such as Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and New York. Many of them noted that the fireball appeared brightly in the sky. A resident named Lee R. from Langhorne, Pennsylvania stated that the fireball appeared to have changed colors. Unfortunately, since it passed through clouds, he did not see the other colors of the cosmic object. An eyewitness from Pennsylvania named Dan D. reported that he saw how the fireball changed colors. He believed this occurred when the object entered Earth’s atmosphere." please take note of the time , this was exactly the same time the explosion occurred in nigeria , it was early morning time in Nigeria it is obvious the story the police are giving doesn't add up GamalNasser: 3 Likes |

GamalNasser: It looks like it. But, By who? Where was it going? Who owns the truck? What's the registration number of the truck? What explosive was in the truck? What was the explosive for? ... So many unanswered questions. Answers to this questions is what everyone expects in order to buy your idea else you'll still have to be jumping from thread to thread telling people that it's a signature truck bomb. 3 Likes |

iamphilips:Looking at the pic, something hit the ground close to the road, as the center of the crater is not on the road, then you can see a depression leading away from the hole, as you rightly arrowed. Can you use your drone to trace that? 2 Likes |

Re: Aerial Pictures Of Akure Explosion by Ayoefa: 8:08am On Mar 29, 2020 |
My first initial thinking is that it might have been an asteroid. But since no large rock has been located nearby, I'll go with the Police explanation even though they are doing a terrible job of explaining how it actually happened. |

This is definitely an impact crater of an object traveling at a very high velocity; it could be a bomb or an asteroid but never an explosive-laden truck 2 Likes |
