FUNNY: Everything was going on well here on Earth until Liverpool decided to win the Premier League

The last time Liverpool won the Premier League more than 80% of their present squad were still in their mother's womb. Liverpool's first League title came in 1900 - 01 season, while their last truimph in the Premier League came in 1989 - 90 season under the stewardship of Kenny Dalglish. If you connect the dots, you would have a whopping 29 years since they were crowned Champions of the English football.

Seasons came and gone, Liverpool struggled but patiently they waited, and gradually they continually built a team capable of getting the job done. Then came 2019/2020 season, and finally it seemed that the football gods have answered the prayers of Liverpool fans; they will at last win the trophy they have long wished for. The Reds completely dorminated the league, opening a staggering 25 - point lead over the second placed Manchester City.

Boom ! Coronavirus struck ! Throwing the entire season into chaos. Now all that is left is uncertainties, questions and endless Debates. Should the 2019/2020 season be cancelled ? Should Liverpool be declared Premier League Champions ? All we have now are questions and debates as the fate of 2019/2020 season remains up in the air as COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread globally.

Premier League legend Alan Shearer weighed into the debate recently and this is what he has to say. " If and it is a huge if, the season. cannot be completed then there is no way you can have a winner or loser. As harsh and as horrible as that would be for some clubs, none more so than Liverpool, it is the only outcome". Then he went further to explain." If you cannot complete the fixtures then you cannot go handing out titles or consider relegating anybody. For Liverpool, it would be incredibly harsh. But I cannot see how it would be fair to hand them the title- despite the fact is obvious nobody is going to catch them".

On the other hand, Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville, said that he would be happy to see Liverpool handed the premier league this season." I say give Liverpool the league and then I keep sending the little asterisk sign, a little note next to it, ' Liverpool won the league but..." It would be an absolute doomsday scenario for football at the end of the day football doesn't matter at this point in time, but it would have to be a doomsday scenario for football not to finish the existing fixtures for this season". He added.

No doubt, it would be grave injustice not to give Liverpool the Premier League title this season after opening an unassailable lead at the top of the table. However, it seems a lot of people are of the opinion that the season have to be finished or it would be completely voided. Weighing into the debate Jamie Redknapp said that giving Liverpool the league title without completing the fixtures would simply " cause chaos", as it would set a very bad precedence for the league. " Of course I feel we have to finish the league. It would just feel completely unfair. You can't go null and void, that just doesn't make any sense to me. Even if it runs into next season and we have a half season next year, I feel that we have to fulfill the fixtures somehow if possible".

The fact is, if Liverpool loses the rest of the league games, they still win the league. So hand them the win.

Then let the rest drag it out when everything has cooled down and they can play again. Only thing is there may be no pre season matches or something.
