This is undoubtedly a meteorite strike, the impact crater, reports of loud and bright light, followed by a shock wave. Fact that we aren't too scientifically inclined about all this out world rock bodies, this happens in the upper hemisphere all the time... 1 Like |

NaMe4:The story in that link happened 49yrs ago.. Those days, dynamites were transported in their explosive form.. These days, dynamites are transported in bags in very nonexplosive forms.. If they catch fire, they would just speedily burn out without exploding. 2 Likes |

fistonati: This explosion looks similar to the one at Abule Ado in Lagos. I suspect it's the same group that are carrying out these bomb attacks. I suspect the Miyetti Allah. The Nigeria Police is just trying to cover up in order to avoid angry revenge attacks on innocent Northerners resident in the Southwest. |

SUMMARY OF THE FINDINGS FROM THE BLAST SITE AT AKURE From the Blast site at Akure. My Research group carried out a detailed analysis of the impact site. A circular impact crater with 21m diameter and 7.8m depth was found which suggest a natural phenomenal. Water was found oozing out from the edges of the crater. A preliminary insitu vibration, noise, seismicity, water analysis, radioactivity studies, rock and soil investigation were carried out. Our findings suggest that the impact of the blasting covers 1km radius of the surroundings of the crater. No evidence of fire or Burning of anything was found within the vicinity. No evidence of radioactivity radiation was found within the crater and immediate vicinity. The field evidence point to a conclusion that A METEORIC FROM AN ASTEROID BELT THAT TRAVELS AT A GREAT SPEED FROM SPACE IMPACTED THE LOCATION AT AN ANGLE OF 43 degrees created an ejecta at South-Western part. No evidence of buried vehicle, buried ordinance or IED was found. However, crack opening that vary in thickness from 3mm to 4metres occurs on the wall of most of the buildings but not at the base of the buildings. Also, foreign rocks and strange metallic objects we're found within the crater. Most of the destruction occurs on top and roof/ceilings of the buildings. Thank you, Professor Adepelumi A. SlayerForever: Yes that's why trucks are used as the vehicle if choice because of its tonnage capacity to carry the huge IED..there won't be a huge fire if there is nothing combustible there , remember it was an open road without vegetation |

That bomb was mistakenly dropped from military aircraft. Its aircraft payload bombs that used to dig large holes on impact. We can find sites like these in Belgium,Poland and Ukrane years after WW2 as a result of Amerian aircrafts bombardments. |

Hi everyone, I am from Canada and have been doing some research on these crater type formations. I believe its caused by an electrical explosion from natural bacteria in the ground called geobacter. There are many kinds of geobacters. Some eat sulfur, some eat metal. They are being used in fuel cells to produce electricity and grow without air. I think when an area floods the bacteria is deposited and grows in the soil if conditions are right. A big charge can build up if it connects with water in the soil and explosion occurs. You can see there was some kind of energy escaping at the edge where the groove was. I don't believe meteorite. If there is metal bits found it may be metal ore in the soil that fused from pulse. The governments do not want you to know about this material because any person who uses it can produce electricity if they make a fuel cell. I was wondering if there is a stream or pond in the direction the groove was heading? |

ayobamiJR:Lol, don't be ridiculous, if its a meteorite, of course you will see the meteorite there Again, meteorites don't displace soil particles in any way, meteorites solidify soil particles and kind of push the whole thing inside, making a hole |
