I can actually see some folks are lazy and not ready to work! Aftermaths they will come over here to call UK any sort of names! Uk is a country that doesn’t give in to laziness or extravagant life. To succeed in Uk you need to be Well articulated and well disciplined.
It so astonishing to see someone says that 11hrs time of working is a big thing for him! Note he doesn’t have to do anything! He only sits down and he is complaining that it a lot of hour! Some people are funny sha! Go to Nigeria and go and work in factories I swear you go know say khaki no be leathers! A typical factory workers in Nigeria works for 12 hrs and being paid 50k at most!

My brother working 11-12hrs for a menial job that doesn’t involve any physical strength isn’t bad to do! We call it menial Job and not professional!

Kk nice time consoling

Typical Nigerian mentality
The fact that you’re used to suffering in your country doesn’t mean you should continue suffering.

11 hours a day is actually unhealthy.

I’m a project manager and I work 9-5.
Some times I work from home
At times I’m travelling within the EU & representing the company. I get paid holidays and sick leave.

That’s the life someone should earn for & not console themselves that 11 hrs a day in a mental institute to survive is hardworking. It’s only different if it’s your area of studies and it’s something you are looking to go into full time

At times you guys talk off point.

No one was talking about not having a meaningful life or earning.

I was talking about people that come here to pursue PR without understanding how difficult it is.

Plus you can never compare the working system abroad to that of Nigeria.

But kk whatever

my point with you is you saying one will has to work his ass off in making sustainable income in Uk

No one said life in Nigeria is better & no one said the two years post study visa ain’t valuable.

We only said people should plan accurately.

No company can file PR for you, don’t mix things up. They can only sponsor your TIER 2, which will lead to ILR , then PR & Citizenship. Now most companies only file 3 years for you , which is not enough for the ILR requirement (5 yrs). So you still have to hope for them to renew your Tier 2 by working hard & showing them that you’re an asset.

British citizenship is not an easy task.
If you can tell me any student in the U.K. that has gotten citizenship the way you just “proclaimed”. I will send you £50 straight now! Then PR £25 quid. Just one person o, not 2.

People from Caribbean & other countries that came to the U.K. since 90’s are still battling to get PR even not passport, & you a student will come and get it JLT.

Let’s be realistic please.
Getting PR in the U.K. takes ages, like yeaaaaaars & you have to be 100% genuine. In the case of that you have not defaulted any immigration rule. It’s like trying not to break raw egg.

How many international students even stick to the 20 hours a week rule?

Yes you can get back your money from menial jobs but your body go hear am las las. At the end those menial jobs may not even help you to pursue a career in your area of studies.

I’m not discouraging anyone but I think it’s only right to be realistic with people, so they can also brace for the worst. U.K. is just only easy to get to because they’re after your money & nothing more. They cannot stop international students from coming because they’re the ones supporting the system with fees etc

Hello, like I said earlier it's not gonna be easy but it's worth every penny and there couldn't be a better destination for international students. Perhaps you're a little upset you missed out on the PSW which is understandable but please don't discourage others. plus my cousin lived in the UK illegally for 6 years and still was able to get permanent resident status with the help of a strong law firm. Jobs in UK are basically less stressful except you're extremely rich or lazy for example you can work in crowd control, hospitality, security( basically you sit in one place and watch cctv) or events services( arranging tables and chairs) you get paid handsomely for these services(so called menial jobs) in fact you're better off than someone working with NNPC or CBN and I'm not even mincing words. In Nigeria you'll do jobs that your body, soul, and spirit go hear am and still your take home pay will be like 50k. All I'm saying is if you can afford to study in the UK please by all means do, you'll get back every penny you spend and much more just doing menial jobs and that's worst case scenerio, what we call a win win. Wishing all prospective applicants luck

Highlighted is false! And not actually true! I work 4 times in a week and make close to N800k a month without doing any strenuous thing at work! The only tiring thing is that I do basically nothing but just sitting down. I will actually say I am being paid for time spent at work and not for any stressful work done!

Such jobs are great but few and far in between to see

So you’re cousin came as a student , stayed 6 years illegally & got PR? He didn’t file for asylum or anything. The law firm just won the case magically & he got PR?

Go to the back pls

You did not mention the course what to read.

They’re universities that offer top programs but they charge same rate as the master’s or 1 year of bsc.

Few will also accept a 3rd class even though the minimum is 2:2. You just have to have a strong work experience etc, to support your application. Some may also offer you a premaster programme first before starting the actual master programme.

At times circumstances can make people get low CGPA. Doesn’t mean they’re not smart and that’s what some of the universities understand.

Regardless, you’re looking at an average of £12k

Just have to google or read through previous threads for low tuition universities

Thanks for the reply

exactly the scenario, he came in as a student, flexed his school fees on girls and shoes. this caused a lot of heat in the family, he was afraid to return to Nigeria until two years back he got his pr. this year he enrolled at a university. let's just say he got lucky but it did happen. grin

Don’t mind that nigga.

He has a cousin in the U.K. but was asking how to send money there the other day.

Make believe stories

Told him to send me proof and he started dancing round the bush

Typical Nigerian
Always lying to console themselves

lol, I think logic should at least suggest to you that the worldremit you recommended has very good rates and it's easier to send money if you have someone there receiving, but you don't think that way. Matter of fact i wanted someone to collect the money and pay something on my behalf. Plus how on earth do you expect me to send you proof of an illegality when my cousin is involved. C'mon do you even use your head? look I'm not here to convince anyone to take that path but what I said is the honest truth and nothing more

Simran94:

If you are going for Big Data or Data Science, first learn Computer architecture and the basics of programming online: from that you would be conversant with how computers work and interact. After that, try learning Python programming language or R programming for data analysis.

Thank you @Simran94.

All I just have to say is when u get to the UK “jara e” it’s only people that like u that will show u and confess what they did to become legal in the uk. most people dey “runs” their leave to remain. It’s doesn’t even matter how u get it, what matters is u have it and it has opened opportunities for you but truth be told IT IS NOT EASY
