So if I am broke and I ask my friend for money and he gives me.. The next day, he is caught by efcc and he mention that he has given me part of the money.... What will I be accused of? |

babyfaceafrica: And there are cases whereby fraudsters willingly transfer money into an account and start giving excuses of mistakes of recipient or figures to the innocent account holder so that he or she can move the money to another account or even help cash it out for the fraudster. This lands the innocent account holder into big trouble he is totally ignorant of. |

sexylassie2: That's not true, so why are scammer and terrorists not using the government, church and other corporate account details posted everywhere? You need to divulge more to be used as a courier. Millions or bank accounts are available or just for asking. 1 Like |

seankafor: I am amazed that over 50 people liked your comments. I have one account with Bank PHB then. B4 it metamorphosed into it's new names. I had changed my mobile number. Hence I did not receive alert on that account. because I did not use it for anything. It remained dormant for years. However, I receive notification via my old email. One day, I was receiving notifications in successions. Monies were moved in and out of my account in successions. I received about 10-20 notifications within about 5 minutes. I did not bother. And I did not go to the bank to complain. because the account was not useful to me. |

babyfaceafrica: Its not safe Oga. The person can transfer 10million naira into your account and private chat you that he made a mistake, that he wanted sending 100k but pressed more digits cos he was drunk. That he will strike a deal that you withdraw probably 8million and meet him at a public place while you keep the remaining 2 million naira as your gift for being a good honest guy who could be willing to return his money despite his error. Not knowing you're been used and later you will get into trouble with anti graft and fraud agencies while the main fraudstars escape. |

Well done Sexylassie2. Valid argument too Babyfaceafrica. However, let me put a clear on this as one who has been in the financial sector for a while and has seen quite a number of people take a walk to the EFCC 's Office. 1. Social Engineering is real and those guys here claiming to want to share billions is just a phase of social engineering. 2. You guys may be enlightened and well to do but on the average, a substantial number of Nigerians are not. 3. As mentioned above, a number of these guys will do anything for a promise of 100k. 4. If people can be so complacent to give away their BVN nos, ATM PAN and C.VV to a fraudster during a phone call speaks volumes. Who says they can't be socially engineered to give away such, especially when their name, bank and even account number are correctly mentioned. 5. Someone mentioned kidnapping, well, that's also a remote possibility. I've seen people being arrested for freebies. Some allowed their accounts to be used as conduit and they are facing the music. Some, not all. Lastly, why would you be expecting free money especially in a forum like this where scammers abound. People should be careful and think through their actions. Cheers! 1 Like |

sexylassie2:Giving out your account number and only your name attach does not pose any threat. it is only when you give out ATM card number, bvn and pin number you can be endangered. |
