Anambra & Delta States Shuts Down Niger Bridge Onitsha- Pictures by AmericanQuarter: 5:01pm On Mar 29, 2020
Public Service Announcement On Onitsha Head Bridge Closure

This is to notify Ndi Anambra, motorists in the state, and those wishing to pass through Anambra state that the Government of Delta state has announced closure of all its land boundaries with effect from 6AM on Sunday, 29th of March 2020.

Motorists are advised not to travel through the Niger Bridge Head, Onitsha to avoid queuing and putting pressure on the bridge. Motorists will not be able to drive into Delta state as a result of the boundary closure order in place.

The government of Anambra state is also announcing the closure of Onitsha Head bridge, through Upper Iweka and Zik’s Mausoleum from midnight on Monday, 30th March, 2020 to discourage vehicles queuing up on the bridge.

The security agencies are hereby directed to enforce this.

Motorists should also note that the government of Enugu state has announced the closure of its land boundaries with effect from 6PM on Tuesday, March 31, 2020.

Only vehicles transporting food items and medicines will be allowed passage.

The government of Anambra state hereby reiterates its earlier directive for people to stay at home and observe strictly the coronavirus advisory and directives earlier issued.

Irrational. It is a federal link and people should be able able to. travel if the journey is absolutely necessary. They should focus on curbing the overloading of public transport.

Nigeria is the most hopeless piece of real estate on earth. Country borders can be closed not internal state borders. If there was no Niger Bridge, which land track could have been closed by this hopeless goon in Delta State? I really do not know why the pig heads in Nigeria that pass as state governors tend to live out of YouTube and CNN. This is one of the reasons Africa is home of despots. The jackasses seemed to intoxicated with power.
