Good evening to you all. I am new on this trend and I am sorry for jumping into this quarrel. I see that the house is settling some issues.
Please I need your help. I am looking forward to registering my Honda accord I VTEC 2012 on taxify/ Uber. What other thing(s) do I need to put in place. Please I need to know what to do. Thanks in anticipation of your kind advice.

Register online with uber and bolt.

Download their driver apps.

Do the bolt online training while you need to wait till corona is over before u do uber training because theirs is held at their office in maryland.

You will need to do inspection of your car and the report uploaded on your online acct.

If I miss any info, feel free to ask.

please don't be offended, thought you said the accident was entirely his fault and that he was beating up for causing the accident?
How come he was giving 15k again?
Besides you never mentioned it before, by the way by now with your experience (you always impress us with) I expect you to know this is part of the uber business package and that's why it was suggested you run insurance but you claim they are scam.
Or you expect someone you accusing of not paying promptly to fix the car or bring the 60k you spent fixing the car?

Out of transparency. This is my last explanation..... Now regardless insurance or no insurance it does not give drivers the right to be careless with my car ..
After the accident happened, it was stated that he was at fault and he was assaulted for causing the accident. So the police now settle the matter that he should replace the bumper of the car he hit and the owner will pay for the windscreen.. So 15k naira was given to him ,but my total damage exceed 15k naira ..

Keep in mind the hood of the car will need to be replaced and painted .. Windscreen will be replace, wiper and wiper motor will need replacement .. So if you do the math the total cost will be at least 40k naira ....

Now if you look at the car below , you can tell that he was at fault 100%. There is no argument about it ,maybe he was dragging with another driver and between that he hit the car in front of him or something ..

My point is if am doing 100% maintenance of the car . I don't expect the driver to be reckless or drive anyhow. I will hold you to higher standard. The driver will tell you I was good to him. Any car issues arises right away I get it done. I don't tell him to manage the car like that ,I fix the car asap.

After all he is not the only driver on nairaland that has worked with me.. Other drivers can vouch for my honesty and integrity... so you can talk about insurance all day or nite you want ..

Whether accident or not, we need to hold people accountable for their actions. Things happen ,but it should not be an excuse to misbehave ..

People need to be held accountable for their actions. It was the way I was trained and wired.

But time to move on. Have forgiven him and wish him the best of luck.. This is my last and final reply on the topic.

In a sane world like the USA ,if the driver is at fault . The insurance company will pay damages depending on policy. For the fact that you are fault, you still pay deductible , depending on policy it could be anywhere from $500 to $1000 and plus your insurance rate will go up .

For example my yearly premium is $1900. Full complete coverage e.g. fully insured, I have good driving record and I pay about $160.00 monthly .. if I now get into an accident and am at fault . My rate will go up for the next five years or so , and my monthly payment can go from $180.00 a month to $200.00 . Yes it was an accident, but there are consequences for our actions. We need to start holding ourselves accountable ..

Please dont say this is Naija and we no dey Yankee. We need to move pass that mentality so that we can have a functioning society.

Again I wish Richard the best and time to move on . I will not answer anymore questions regarding the topic...

Bro, what is amusing?

Your 50k downpayment. No one will drop 50k for security for a car on rental.

Im sorry, I don't mean to bad mouth your ads.

BTW, what car is that?

And is the 19k weekly remittance just for This period?

Lest I forget, hold on till the corona is gone. Buhari just declared total lock down in Lagos, Abuja and Ogun.

You know who's at fault by only looking at a picture?

Well, you may be right, and you may be wrong grin

From the picture you posted yesterday, the bumper, headlamp, grill and tip of the hood was perfect, so he didn't run into anything cool

Likely cause? A Truck(Trailer, tanker, container, blah blah blah)

Maybe he was stuck in traffic and the truck rolled back

OR

It could be a truck that was overloaded, and it's goods was protruding at the tail end. He probably ran into it or it rolled back

Don't call me a fool again angry

I don't think they are recruiting drivers currently, they are working at home.
However inspection can be done but I don't think he will be activated

As you may know during this covid-19 period, things would move very slowly
On a weekly most drivers here return about 25k-20k (it's actually negotiable as you two would become 'partners' )
On the "modalities" your preferred driver should have 2 secured and strong guarantors and also if you would be leaving the car for the driver you'd have to see where he is going to be parking your car and if it is going to be secured and safe to avoid stories that touch
Also for repairs and the likes you should negotiate the conditions thoroughly with your partner to avoid story for the gods, if possible involve a lawyer or get to a signed agreement between you both.
Lest i forget I'm a registered driver on bolt and I'm looking for a partner. So what do you say we team up?
I've people to vouch for my proficiency and also you could read my posts just to have a take on my personality i'm not a marlian or a roughian
I await your assessment and response.

That 51 is a 3 month extension for repayment for those who collected trademoni and the likes.

Anyone that didn't apply for the loan needs not bother about it.

As for 54, do we have the data for vulnerable? Isnt it how they claimed poor and old were given 5k monthly, how many got it?

That's why I said more questions needed to be asked to clarify. And it's not just trademoni if you read the full speech.
