I have learnt a lot on this thread but I think there's one I'll like to apply to myself since I Don join the redmi gang. Here it goes: I WON'T UPDATE MY DEVICE FROM WHAT COMES OUT OF THE BOX. Seems to be the most stable version without much issues.

I use RN7 though. I later discovered that theme is one kind. The "dial part" in phone book is white, and my contact numbers too are white, so seeing the numbers sef is impossible. Tried the 5th one, it has nice background, but it is quite messy. Will keep trying and tweaking till I get what I want.
Try switching region to India and try, let's see what happen

you can customise the theme, using another theme for the dial pad add every other part of the system that looks strange/odd.
