Iswap release pictures of their missionary tours around the lake Chad area. They are so comfortable that they hold lectures, live in numbers and not in hiding. They are also preaching to non muslims and converting them to Islam. I assume that comes with incentives.

Question please, Just based on what the terrorist observers want us to believe, which is that these terrorists aim to establish their caliphate out of the sum of land cut from Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon and Niger, how do they expect to protect and keep the caliphate if they succeed in creating it? Nigeria couldnt even keep Bakassi

I've been a silent reader of this thread, I must commend, exhalt and congratulate you guys for the work done. It's obvious many of you are much more intelligent and militarily adept than many military personnel. I'd like to know if there's a way to enable your collective voices heard by the army command.

I also noticed that the Nigerian armed forces are being too defensive, in fact they should be taking this war to bokoharam or iswap on all fronts instead of countering, defending bases like it's a game of clash. Great work once again guys, stay safe.

There are actually former and current military members on this thread. I don't know about others on the thread and what motivates them, but I am forever fascinated with modern military history and weaponry. As for making our collective voices heard, I don't think that is possible. Not even the great Beegeagle managed that.

Yes, the NA should be constantly on the offensive, giving ISWAP and Boko Haram no room to even draw breathe, but instead they have chosen to go on the defensive, leaving the initiative to the enemy and mounting air raids now and then. I have always maintained that is a monumental mistake, but there's nothing I or anyone here can do to change that. You can see the results on the thread, with ISWAP feeling so comfortable they have started evangelizing like Jehovah Witnesses.

Because ordinary soldier doesn't get to decide where the war goes. Orders from above, they do as they are told. I'm sure the people in lower rank aren't stupid, they know what we know, but it's not their call, it's whatever Oga orders. And if that oga at the top is useless, well, there goes the lives of our brave men and women.

At least 92 soldiers from Chad have been killed in the deadliest-ever attack by the Boko Haram armed group on the country's military forces, President Idriss Deby said on Tuesday.

"We lost 92 of our soldiers, non-commissioned officers and officers," the president said of the attack overnight on Sunday in Boma.

If Samayanwu told us about this, some people would have told you is not possible for 92 soldiers to be killed in a single operation by boko haram.

COVID-19: NIGERIAN AIR FORCE AIRLIFTS MEDICAL MATERIALS DONATED BY JACK MA FOUNDATION FROM LAGOS TO ABUJA

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), yesterday, 24 March 2020, airlifted medical materials donated by the Jack Ma Foundation, China, for tackling the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Nigeria, from the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos to the Nnmadi Azikiwe International Airport(NAIA), Abuja in fulfilment of the NAF's roles of providing Military Aid to Civil Authority (MACA).

The donated medical materials, which consist of 107 boxes of medical supplies and equipment, comprising surgical masks, medical disposable protective clothing, face shields and detection kits, weighing about 3,000 pounds, were airlifted in a single mission using the NAF C-130 Hercules aircraft (NAF 913) and handed over by the NAF Aircrew to a delegation from the Federal Ministry of Health led by the Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Abdulazeez Mashi Abdullahi, today, 25 March 2020, at the NAIA, Abuja.

Speaking to the press after inspecting the delivered items, Alhaji Abdullahi thanked the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, for the timely deployment of aircraft to airlift the items to Abuja. He also expressed appreciation to the NAF officers and men who participated in the airlift mission for their professional conduct. He said the donated items would go a long way in supporting the Government’s efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the Country.

The NAF leadership has also expressed the readiness of the Service to provide any form of support within its statutory responsibility of providing aid to civil authority as the Nation continues to work assiduously to deal with the threat posed by COVID-19.

When people complain or post the truth about what's happening in the north east, they will tell you that you're a boko haram or iswap sympathizer. That military officer lamenting must also be a boko haram sympathizer. In fact, in that video, there are two General on the battle field.

I have the feeling that the op is working low key for the military sef... He is always angry whenever someone says the truth.

I decided to stop posting the truth to be seen as a patriotic Nigerian sad
The Op should always remember, he is not the only person that gets info direct from the North east.

Before two Generals can appear in such a video, just imagine the kind of hell the whole unit would have been through embarassed

But, why will a general make such a video though ?
Is there no secure communication line between him and the command centre of the 7 division?

It seems the Higher command was not taken the General serious and he had no other option but to make a video and send it to them. But it somehow got leaked to the social media.

Will the two generals and other officers be Court Martial for making this video?

Is it only when boko people kill plenty of our soldiers that we respond?

From Intel available, me think the Nigerian army know where these people are, why not divide the theatre into blocks and do a complete sweep instead of all these back and forth...Boko kill 100 soldiers and Nigeria respond and kill many with no figure and everything go back to normal then Boko kill another 50 and our soldiers again begin to clean their gun to go and find Boko to kill in retaliation..!!

These back and forth won't help..!!

look at the way the Chadian president takes things so personal just because 92 Chadian soldiers were confirmed killed.

Is so possible Buhari does not know that, more than 10 soldiers were killed by terrorists this week alone. When you call GMB out as the president of Nigeria they will accuse you of been a PDP supporter.

I wish I can meet buhari one on one and ask him why he has not fired the CDS, COAS, CAS. The minister of Defense have to be change too. A lot of things have to be done, but he can start from here, for other generals and marshals to know the president mean business.

After taken a look at all the COAS we have been having since the reign of Dambazau, only Ihejirika has done well in my own opinion. When the Nigerian army was raining hell on boko haram, buhari came out, and told us "An attack on boko haram is an attack on the north".

I saw it too... E no easy at all. If things continue this way, I don't see this fight ending this year.

The president of chad left the state capital, but our own buhari has not said anything about our men that were ambushed and killed embarassed instead of him to hold a press conference and talk tough.

I don't know how we get to this point where a rag-tag terrorist group is doing so much damage to the Army and yet we have a retired General that promised to lead the battle from the front as president.

Is like having a meat seller as your father yet you eat bones.

That Eagle wings movie is just to motivate all Nigerians to see the sacrifices soldiers are making. Soft power is a very important tool in defeating boko-haram. We all believe America has the best military in the world because of movies.

The fact about the matter be say Buhari no fit motivate people. He is docile and an uninspiring leader.

He really not to wake up to his responsibilities as commander in chief. Idris Deby the President of Chad was in the field with his troops just this past week.

The army needs more armoured vehicles, attack helicopters and more ammunition. It is not easy.

Doesn't make sense. The Chadians are some of the fiercest and experienced warriors in Africa. I don't think they are stupid enough to have a base so near an ISWAP camp without pulverizing it.

!

This Is because both ISWAP / Boko Haram and the MJTF has both lost the momentum as well as the initiative.

When you get to that situation, then it's called a stalemate.

And in a Stalemated situation, one prominent feature is 'War of attrition.

If you have an eye for these things, you'll know that West African war of Attrition actually started since 2015.
