I wear them waist beads but for me, it's nothing other than fashion. I don't see beads any different from ring, earrings, bracelets or hair clips.

Alot of ladies wear beads for Fashion, but because of the stereotype given to beads as Fetish items, people now want to dissociate themselves from those who wear them....As for me I really like them on a lady

For those in the city like Lagos,it is just fashion. I do see this waist beads in markets for sale,such beads were made by people to sell and it's safe.
But those in the village,it might be for fashion or protection, especially if the beads was given to the girl by her parents or a certain seer.
Just know that girls who buy beads and we're do it for fashion,but those who received it from their parents or seer,it has other uses.
