Most people commenting did not read the write-up, They are been evacuated rather they came in to the country and their destination is Calabar. But what I don't understand is, why are they still coming? Despite the fact that their country is still coming to evacuate their people. Something is fishing. 7 Likes |

Joefat: If mass testing is carried out, we will know the true situation of things. There is a reason why they are preaching a failed system called Lockdown instead of carrying out mass testing. 1 Like |

They are essentials. It's impossible to close bother to everything. Some of the aids we receive from Jack Ma and WHO are air-freighted. Who is going to wait for a ship for 3 weeks in this critical time? |

dre11: This Buhari cannot resist importing more of this Virus into Nigeria! He should let them land at Abuja, in the Presidnetial Wing. That way, he can shake their hands, hug them and welcome them into Nigeria...afteral they hav ebeen properly screend. Let him try and ask permisison from America, thathe wants to evacuate Nigerians in America who want to come back home and let us see whether Trump will grant him the same courtesy. 3 Likes |

What a useless government. They should have been quarantined for 14 days. I expect NNPC GMD to test positive in a week or two due to this foolishness. 5 Likes |

That was just how the problem started. Majority of people are asymptomatic and convalescent carriers. They refuse to show symptoms but they actively shed the diseases to vulnerable hosts. Just imagine a person who looks so sound and healthy being a carrier. Health security or Petroleum 2 Likes 1 Share |

Hmm. It's a good idea but the mass testing result may scare some Nigerians to death. Even, China had to manipulate the figures for Western media when they are at the peak of Coronavirus. SharpJoe: |

aremuforlife: Right now, there should be no movement, whether you are infected or not. Stay where you are and let us see if you will develop symptoms or not. As long as there is still some movement around, this lockdown of Nigerians is a waste of time. What are they looking for in Nigeria, at this time? Oil Price is down, Companies are closed and the lockdown is only for a few weeks! Cant the NNPC work wait till after the lockdown? What is it that can wait and is more important than the lives of Nigerians? Buhari has failed Nigerians, he should be impeached. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Eriggs:read well, they are not evacuating their citizens. Where are they going to evacuate them to,the US that's been overrun by corona virus? |
Re: US Chartered Flight Lands At Lagos Airport by Kenn55: 10:21pm On Mar 30, 2020 |
iammo: I don't thin you should blame NNPC. 1. When a country places a high value of her citizens, the host country will have to follow suite so it is not surprising that NNPC can chatter plane for Americans. The west places a high value on their citizens and that is why they are evacuating their citizens abroad even though their countries are currently worse off at the moment but they have the confidence that they can take care of their citizens better. In contrast, China has closed their border to foreigners and advised their citizens to stay where they are abroad even though, things are getting better for them now. Then you talk of the likes of Nigeria who do not even care if they have citizens abroad not to talk of having any plan for them. Can you now see how much value different countries place on their citizens? 2. The oil in Nigeria will remain in the ground without foreigners or do you have any local technology to extract oil form the ground? 3 Likes |

Kenn55: read again.. they are not being evacuated they are being flown in (arrival) and chartered a connecting flight AirPeace to Calabar all cost paid by NNPC, the normal procedure of evacuation that US did few days ago is in order as Nigeria already notified many countries it is closing its borders, my complain is bringing new americans at this time and deliberating granting them landing right at our airport and in calabr 1 Like |
