Check battery life

There are other things you should observe in a firmware update other than battery life.

Performance, optimization, improvement in Camera outputs etc.

Interesting, I noticed the same thing with the Geekbench 5 scores.

Realme 6 pro had a higher score than RN9S (with the same "720G" )
From the looks of things SD 720 isn't a good processor at all, the meditek Helio GT90 does a better job, I still don't understand why xiaomi would put a weaker processor on their latest device.

I got update of 11.0.8 on my RN8 this morning and I've updated it. Pls for those of us that have updated it pls let try to notice the improvement in our battery life and also give feedbacks.

I think there's no difference for now.

Weaker, probably. Overall better, probably. I think their major reason for going the SD way is for that improved battery efficiency. Trust me putting the 12nm G90T on a 5k mAh battery and you won't feel any remarkable increased SOT. Also, historically, SD SoCs have better stability over sustained load for a period of time. Finally, the RN8 Pro was plagued by several overheating issues.

If Helio G90t processor is better than SD 720G processor why is the cheaper Realme 6 using G90t and the expensive Realme 6 pro is using 720G? What do i know??

What's soc and sot grin
Oh and I feel those overheating issues are mainly dependent on the user.

Realme 6 "pro" is a higher flagship device so obviously they'd make it more expensive.....
Not a valid argument.

SoC- System on a Chip, generally referred to as Processors or CPU (incorrect btw)

SoT - Screen on Time.

Seems the RN9 has a better Multi core score though. The GPU is what appears to be off. The CPU scores are the same but the GPU should score around 80k not 50k on Antutu

Yea, the difference in scores is quite much

720G has better CPU performance and due to its smaller die size (8nm) offers better battery life and much reduced heating. Watch the C4ETech battery drain test between RN9 Pro, Realme 6 and the Pro and M31...I think.
From the tests, the Realme 6 Pro lasted a good 1hr and 20mins over the Realme 6. So, it makes sense to put the 720G in the more premium of the 2 devices.

Oh now I understand your last statement but let's be honest, all these powerful chipsets mainly come down to gaming and maybe photography, if not what's the use of them?
Helio GT90 is a far more superior chipset in terms of gaming than compared to the SD720.

In terms of battery efficiency I'll admit the SD is a better chipset in that order.

But the SD 720G is more consistent over a period of time. Check the scores after five successive testings.

And Xiaomi probably went with the 720G chip cos of the heat issues with the G90 and SD SoCs are more battery efficient.

Yes, I already admitted it's better at battery efficiency but what about processing power?

True, even at photography it beats the 720G

G90T has a better GPU but the SD720G has a better CPU.

However, there are way more things that are reliant on your SoC, apps like Snapchat with all those AR features, Twitch and YouTube streams at 60FPS, Game streaming services, and a lot more require powerful chipsets.

How in the world did the 720 outperform the 730?! grin cheesy
Clearly as stated before meditek Helio GT90 has a better GPU( Most important chipset for gaming) but the CPU seems almost as powerful with the 720 barely beating it.

IDK bout you but this seems only to prove my point that the meditek Helio GT90 is a better chipset.

Even at processing power 720G is still slightly more powerful than mediatek G90t even though it has better gpu but 730G is the worst performer because it performance goes down under intessive usage.

Will the RN8 Pro users and sympathisers ever allow the RN9s hit the ground before trying to run it down?

Why don't they want to accept that it's the turn for another device to shine? grin

But why does the 730G perform so badly?
Wouldn't it be more efficient that the 720?

It's the hard truth cheesy
The redmi note 8 pro performs better in terms of gaming grin
Literally supports HDR on pubg and high graphics on Fornite which is INSANE
Unless you aren't a gamer.

The redmi note 9 pro is a disappointment.
