Updates on lectures for Students: Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU)

Universities have been ordered to be closed to control Coronavirus spread in TRNC while maintaining #socialDistance. In order not to jeopardize the academic plans/curriculum, we have adopted an interactive online lecturing at EMU.

All our students have been enrolled in the WEB-based lecturing systems provided by MicrosoftTeams, Zoom and our own in-house distance education app. So the online lecture, interactions, exams and quiz will begin on Monday.

Students are able to join using their credentials anywhere they are, be it in the sea, on the mountain, kitchen, toilet and isolation or quarantined cells.

Majority of the Universities in Turkey and TRNC are adopting the Online-lectures from Next week!

And why would you want to spend 40 days on the ship just to come to Cyprus ? You are traveling as student, tourist, cargo, Soldier or as what? This will determine if you will be allowed in when you arrive at Cyprus shoreline.

North or south Cyprus?

Cyprus is for studies Not hustling....if you are not coming for studies or you don’t have financial support or full cash to pay your fees as a student, no need to come to Cyprus either south or north Cyprus.

In these difficult times, we are experiencing due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Rector's Office of Eastern Mediterranean University has launched an aid campaign under the title “We stand with our students against COVID-19” to cater for our students' various needs.

Through this campaign, we aim to meet some needs of our students and also to give the message that we are with them in this process as the EMU family.

EMU members of staff will contribute part of their salaries to the aid campaign. At EMU, we care!

PhD Last. 3-5 years and students pay per course each semester they register and also pay for thesis.

PhD is often 7-8 courses and each cost 1300$. Thesis cost 1700$.

Accommodation per year within the dormitory or shared outside ranges 1000-2500$.

Food/expenses depends on size of your eating and lifestyle which may range 100-300$ monthly.

Along the studies, you may be eligible for Research Assistant position, this will pay you some salary and may then give you discount with the tuition. However, prepare for the above cost estimate.
