2) performance at club level

3) individual accolades won

Comply a list of the 5 greatest Nigerian players of all time...

Anyways Okocha > Mikel for SE and at Club level.
Okocha won more individual awards than Mikel.

Having a high poverty rate and being the poorest country on earth aren't exactly the same,at least in economics terms...

GDP per capita is used to measure how poor a country's economy is..and Nigeria is no where near the top 10 poorest in Africa...

The poverty rate has to do with the numbers of people who live below the poverty line...

So Nigeria is simply a rich country with a lot of poor people

A country with the highest number of poor people can't claim to be rich.

Please pick up your economic book or ask any economist around for further information.

I rest my case.

I always fail to understand the braggadocious attitude of Black South Africans.

What have black South Africans produced? What have they accomplished for their nation?

Their cricket team is dominated by South Asians and English Afrikaaners.

Their field hockey teams are dominated by Afrikaaners.

Their mighty springboks’ is dominated by their fellow Dutch Afrikaaners and coloured countrymen.

Their various multinational companies and industries are controlled by Whites.

Indians control commerce in Durban and JoBurg.

And finally, their modern infrastructural development is due to the work of their Afrikaaner slave masters during the Apartheid years (and still to this day!!!)

So my fellow Black South Africans, I ask you a simple question: What have you contributed to the successes of your nation?

Are you poor? Cos I don't know what you are trying to prove!
Northern Nigeria is the reason for that statistic but they are not complaining.
They are not as materialistic as the south who kill their brothers for position and material gain.
I have never heard of any political assassination in Northern Nigeria which is very common in so called educated South West.

so I must be poor to want to talk about the poor in the society and what recession can do?

smh

you have a poor mindset bro

Bro you shouldn't have done this. The reason the SAns left early was because nobody replied them. When they got tired they left. It's not as if there were no adequate response to their tirades yesterday. It was just to keep the sanity of thread

What did Mikel win individually other than a few youth awards?
How many times was Mikel nominated for player of the year?
Okocha not only won Afcon, but he was joint top goal scorer and player of the tournament.
Dude even got a PFA player of the year nomination at Bolton. Mikel didn't even win player of the month throughout his time at Chelsea.
Respect Okocha abeg.

Reason why some people here wants us to dispose an experienced and efficient Iwobi for an inexperienced Eze because he can dribble everyone on the pitch. Forgetting that there's more to football than aimless unproductive dribbles.

So economies thrive during war time ba? That's common sense na.

Yes we have the most poor people in number but when u combine that with our total population it is irresponsible to say that Nigeria is a poverty capital. In that same article u posted, it showed south Sudan has an over 90% rate of poverty. I think u made ur whole opinion off of simply that headline.

Okocha didn’t win anything in football ,why can’t you deal with that ?

Okocha will be praying to get what Mikel has achieved

Mikel was playing for a star studded Chelsea team ,even as great as Sergio Busquets I doubt he has even won Barcelona player of the month

Mikel was not playing for below average Bolton,he would have won player of the month there

I don't think Okocha is on Maradona level but to put Mikel ahead of him is disrespectful.
Okocha was the most expensive African player during his time(£14m at 98 is a big deal).
Dude had a better WC than Mikel did.
What stopped Mikel from playing for "average" teams when he wasn't a cemented first 11 player?
Did being a DM stop Kante from getting nominated and winning PFA player of the year? I repeat Okocha had a better career than Mikel.
The only reason id even put Kanu ahead of Okocha is because he was great in his first season at Arsenal.
If not, how many seasons was Kanu a regular first 11 player for Arsenal?
