You are right. I still have chinese as partners in till date. They only care about the money. However Nigeria and Africa is an opportunity for them to make more money by lending and investing in infrastructure. We have alot of problems which are also opportunities. But because our leaders prefer the finished product than the processing , they will take advantage of it. So they will provide the fund and infrastructure and take over the market at the same time generate revenue from infrastructure.

maybe you don't understand the theory of the op and I think the word colonization is too far

but you should understand the implication of African not developing itself...this chinese is doing something in taking charge of our economy....they give us loan on infastruture and they bring their engineer to construct the project and bring the materials from their country even if we produce some of the materials here and leaving our own engineer out of job....

since the money don't benefit our local economy we can't provide more job through our the project..e.g Lagos to ibadan rail line should create thousand of job for Nigeria during construction but it is not because many of the engineers and materials are imported from China

since they don't benefit much on the project we could have problem paying back and they will seize some national asset to control for many years like how they did in Sri Lanka and Zambia

with this been happening they will get more say in our economy which could eventually lead to them controlling our economy like the whites do in South Africa... and all of this could be easy for them since Africa is bless with corrupt leaders

this will not be good for us...so I think you need to understand it that because no one will wish is country bad because of anything but you use some past events to predict the future most important when you are also going the path of the past people
