Differentiate btw absolute and relative poverty. Even in US or any developed world - there are people who are classified as poor. For example anybody earning say less than 20K USD per annum would be poor in US...but they have nearly zero absolute poverty.

Absolute or international poverty line - there is very little of that in South Africa - while Nigeria are leading the world.

Imagine this coming from a kenyan. Show me where Nigeria is leading the world in poverty as of 2020.

Yah I believe what you are saying especially about your country. I know Ethiopians were too advanced in those olden days.Every time I read a bible,am surprised to find out how the same Ethiopia managed to achieve so much even to been feared by everybody.
Of course,Ethiopia knew how to count and write way before the Europeans! Most of European education is derived from Ethiopia and other nearby nations like Egypt, Israel, etc.And yes,humbleness is good.Its stupid pride and arrogance which leads to a lot of today's sufferings
