Yah I believe what you are saying especially about your country. I know Ethiopians were too advanced in those olden days.Every time I read a bible,am surprised to find out how the same Ethiopia managed to achieve so much even to been feared by everybody.

It's surprising how South Africa's economy is that small with all the gold, diamond, chromite, palladium, long history of education and interaction with Europe and Asia. I guess it's the apartheid thing. The Boers excluded the blacks from the meaningful sectors of the economy. Now the blacks are the majority with nothing to show for it but crime,HIV, drug use and other vices. This has surely restricted the growth of the South African economy and society.

I didn't know you are such good on details.Yes we have those markets which are designed to accommodate disable folks.And most of those markets are in high density areas were the ordinary folks and most of Tanzanians live.
Architecture wise,yes we try.A lot more is needed to be done.You know,east Africa is under a lot of competition. If we just sleep a bit,we will end up being a laughing stock.You Ethiopians are the ones who make everyone running up and down to try fix stuff.I think we learn from each other.Sometimes you might think u only learn from us,but in reality we get a lot of inspiration from Ethiopia and even rwanda
