The troops of Operation Lafiya Dole (OPLD) has destroyed another logistics base of the Boko Haram Terrorists at Ngoske in the fringes of Sambisa forest in Borno State, the Defence Headquarters says.

The Acting Director, Defence Media Operations, Benard Onyeuko, a brigadier general, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja.

Mr Onyeuko said the feat was achieved in an air raid conducted by the Air Component of OPLD in a subsidiary operation, Decisive Edge on Monday.

He explained that the air strikes were conducted following credible intelligence reports indicating the existence of some structures within the settlements used by the terrorists to store their arms and other logistics items.

“Accordingly, following confirmatory Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions, which showed significant activity in the settlement, Nigerian military fighter jets were dispatched to attack the location.

“The jets’ bombs and rockets recorded accurate hits on target leading to the destruction of the base as well as the neutralization of some Boko Haram fighters.

“The Armed Forces of Nigeria, in furtherance of the objective of restoring peace and security in the Northeast, will continue to sustain the offensive against the enemies of our dear Nation,” he said.

- The first complaint is bad intelligence, okay, this happens in every army.

- The second complaint is mobility, 250 tyres of B vehicles changed. The A vehicles, only the Proforce MRAP is in order. The CS/VP3's all have had their tyres changed, they don't also have run flat inserts in the tyres.

A serious army would have purchased tracked vehicles to complement wheeled vehicles in this theater.

There are many options from friendly countries we can buy from. We can buy from Turkey, Russia, China etc etc.

Look at the Algerian army, how they have an important blend of tracked and wheeled vehicles.

- The 3rd compliant is firepower. There is nothing like a fair fight. If you shoot an American soldier with an AK-47, he replies with a Javilen missile, if you fire at them with a grenade they would reply you with a Tomahawk missile.

All too often in this conflict the firepower of the Nigerian army has been inefficient. We need to invest in more main battle tanks and 30mm cannons. It should not be a fair fight.

The Nigerian driving around in a few mraps armed with heavy machine guns, MRAPs are troop transports they are not an offensive weapon.

Our troops in sierra Leone and Liberia had 90mm armed guns, they had the scorpion light tank, they had alpha jets flying night missions, they had 30 mm guns this was why they were effective in combat and in operations there.

We all do not like those useless Hilux vehicles neither does soldiers nor the authority want them..buh you should also remember that the funds available to them cannot be compared to that of Algeria one bit..They don't have any other choice than to go for less capable vehicles.
The first thing about any good army is their financial capacity and then ideas follow..They know the things they need buh at the same time they don't have enough funds for those things. So the need for prioritizing comes in.

Where are the 10,000 body armour the Nigerian army said the bought from NMT in Osun state?

10,000 is not enough to go round buh am sure you know that there's been an increase in the number of soldiers that wear armour vests. Some don't even wear because they see it as stress and they say victory is from God alone

If what you wrote is the truth which I seriously doubt, then the Nigerian army is in even much more trouble than I thought. As the theatre commander and a major general and in a place with an ongoing kinetic warfare, he should have mobile comms that links direct to his boss and his subordinates. It's possible he used other channels but no one listened and again if that video as you said was meant to be official and someone leaked it, I cry for the army and my country.

I don't know what made him to make the video buh m sure u could hear radio comms underground in the videos

Let's use the Ezugwu as a baseline.

It costs 70 million naira for each vehicle.

Are you saying the Nigerian army cannot add 50 units of ARA and Ezugwu APC each year?

We don't have the funds Algeria has, but you see that Algeria does not buy equipment for troops now, now, now.

They plan forwards it, and make provisions well ahead of time. They also buy in bulk, which is spread out over a couple of years.

In Nigeria, we buy CS/VP3 today, tomorrow we buy Reva from South-Africa, next tomorrow we buy Typhoon from UAE, then we come back and buy ARA from Nigeria. We almost bought Varta from Ukraine.

We buy T-72 from Ukraine, then we buy T-72 from Czech republic.

We should standardise on the ARA and Ezugwu, ask a friendly nation like South-Africa to help us integrate a 20mm or 30mm weapon station on the ARA and Ezugwu.

Go to Russia and buy surplus Tanks, T-72 and T-62. Maybe some BMP-2, surplus.

Mix the equipment, some new, some second hand.

Spare a thought for the Yemenis. The Satanic Crypto Zionist Saudis have targeted civilians since the war began in 2015.
The UN has described the situation in the country as the world’s worst humanitarian crisis. UNICEF recently reported that around two million children in Yemen were suffering from acute malnutrition, including 360,000 under five years old.
https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20191029-who-250000-yemenis-at-brink-of-starvation/

While we screech about covid 19 that causes mild headache and sneezing among healthy adults Yemenis are currently amidst a raging cholera epidemic amidst a totally destroyed medical infrastructure.
Nearly 400 hospitals and medical facilities in Yemen were destroyed during the four-year war period as a result of the Saudi-led coalition air strikes, Health Ministry spokesman Youssef Hadiri said in an interview with Sputnik News, on Thursday.

“More than 375 hospitals and medical facilities were destroyed because they were hit directly or indirectly by bombs and missiles launched by the coalition,” Hadiri said.

These are not targeting errors or wayward missiles temporarily losing their GPS trajectories-its a deliberate attempt to maximise ALL CASUALTIES AND PLEASE SATAN THE REAL GOD OF THE HOUSE OF SAUD.
In fact its shocking even to hardened observers who've covered several battlefields just how effed up things are:
“Diseases and epidemics such as cholera, diphtheria, various flu viruses and hunger, caused by the blockade to Yemen, affected to some degree 16 million people, as a result more than 700,000 people died,” he said.

COVID19 FIGHT
today Kenya Army unit engaged a smuggler militia that attempted to attack Ethiopian + Kenyan workers digging trenches along the common border.
there were earlier misleading reports that ethiopian troops were clashing with kenyans

the militia from ethiopia are said to be unhappy with the closure of Kenyan border with trenches to arrest the spread of coronavirus,

https://www.nation.co.ke/counties/marsabit/Ethiopian-gunmen-open-fire-on-Kenyan-workers/3444778-5510940-e6jyqx/index.html

gunmen, said to be unhappy with the closure of Kenyan border to arrest the spread of coronavirus, attacked a team of local contractors.

The contractors, who started work on Monday, had been hired by the county administration to dig tunnels on the borderline to stop entry and exit from Kenya.

Source told the Nation that the gunmen opened fire on the workers as they excavated a tunnel on Wednesday morning, ripping apart the fuel tank of an excavator .

"KDF has rushed to quell the tension and as we speak there is calm."

Gunshots rent the air as the gunmen in military uniform engaged the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) in sporadic exchange of fire and running battles.

he largest gun show was held late Jan in Las Vegas and its only just hit me.
Where are the Black firms? The Kenyan Kimber, Naijjan Steyr,Black Saffa Keltec and Black American Barrett are either still born or yet to be born!
I feel it an embarrassment:India already has quality sniper rifles we've seen here from a private player.
156 EXHIBITORS AND NOT A SINGLE BLACK FIRM. I may be wrong but to mu knowledge this is the only Black gunnmaker http://www.shellbacksupply.com in the US. Unknown in a world of Daniel defence/Echo company/Palmetto and other mid sized firms.
Imo this a terrible situation:NOT A SOLE MID SIZED BLACK GUNNMAKER ON EARTH!?
By the blood of Black Jesus what did we ever do wrong?

Ok..let me throw in some economics so u can understand better. According to World Bank, before a country can move at her right pace of development, ur tax/revenue-gdp ratio(revenue of a country compared to its GDP) has to be at least 15%. Nigeria has one of the lowest ratio in the world at 6.5%.. The issue here is not that there's fund and they do not want give them, d issue is dat there's no enough fund..The Nigerian military 2020 capital budget which happens to be one of the highest on the capital budget is N110bn($300m) whereas if we had enough(15% tax/revenue to Gdp) the capital budget should be at around $4bn(N1.4trn), imagine what the military would be able to do with what that amount if they doing all they are doing currently with little they have.

Army said they'll get 131 units.

DICON has delivered 10 units to them.

A contract for an additional 28 units was signed for.

93 units are left.

For the ARA MRAP I remember reading here that the army has an order for 30 units.

About 18 units of the ARA have been delivered to the army under of previous contract separate from the 30 units ordered.

I totally don't understand how the media was able to fool u guys this much even after seeing the videos..The video was not recorded for the public, it was recorded for his superior but was leaked by his orderly and his friend. This clearly shows a general given a sitrep to his boss about the situation on ground at the battle field, there was no instance where he complained about the military being ill-equiped..The only thing that looked like a complaint was how the intelligence assessment turn out to be wrong and this is something that occur from time to time on the field, everything do not always go as planned. These videos were shot last week Wednesday. Do not let these useless media guys to mislead u guys..You all know better than this.

Nigeria ain't perfect but By now you should know that mouthbreathers on her are DISPARATE for anything Negative to say in regards to Nigeria. Any form of bad news to come out of Nigeria minute or otherwise will be exaggerated beyond comprehensive belief. Not to mention boat loads of fake news people here will blindly gobble up sometimes with zero evidence ever surfacing. A week ago there was a fraud on here trying to say something like over 2,000 people in Abuja simultaneously dropped dead from Coronavirus........... grin

I always thought the NA could learn from the other insurgencies, like eg Syria.
The video of the frontline shows little progress albeit not enough. Our soldiers did have protective gears, few MRAPs but with limited airpower, limited intelligence and 'logistic problems'.
Please go read
https://peccaviconsulting./2020/02/13/boko-haram-iswaps-christmas-2019-offensive/
where with the current defensive 'Super Camp' strategy, the nature of attacks mostly faced by the army when on patrol are ambushes.
Apart from equipment, the whole strategy is faulty where the army hierarchy is content with laying back and absorbing attacks while going on patrols which achieve nothing than engaging enemy forces.

Its why the army chiefs should be changed, but what do you expect from Buhari who took 6+ months to select his cabinet.
