Here's Aba-made face masks, quite impressive. Without any iota of sentiment, the South-Eastern region of Nigeria has the human resouce capacity and the potentials to become the industrial hub of the Nation. Just that there are some internal issues such as sociopolitical disparities and other wailing challenges in the region. However, Weldone... Analytically, the only way for Nigeria to actualize a higher PPP (purchasing power parity) in the international market is to reduce importation and increase the production of certain competitive products... Our devalued Naira can regain its strength in the course. Though many scholars could argue that those Aba-made products are substandard as compared to the foreign ones. But the closest answer to that is that; "Rome wasn't built in a day..." There's always room for improvement. Remember the days of China Phones, now they have improved. And y'all know! We need to start appreciating our local content products in Nigeria... By the NETISM Author (Jawolusi Oluwaseun) 186 Likes 18 Shares

You are all on point... Just as the border was closed the border for the importation of rice, such should be done for some tech gadgets too... During this lockdown holiday, I'm just hoping that Nigerians could maximize it for productive inventions... I'm already working on my own value-added products. We need to start looking inwards in proffering solutions to our wailing challenges in Nigeria rather than being fed externally... For how long are we going to continue like this? Anyway, see this message from NETISM... Yes, we can curb COVID-19 with TEAMWORK 24 Likes 3 Shares

Much as I admire your ingenuity note that the white filter on a face mask acts as a sponge, catching and soaking up particles in the air. As well as dirts in the hands of that person placing his fingers on it as he sews it in that picture. He needs to at least wear gloves while making it. 152 Likes 7 Shares |

Nice idea in dis time. To the guy wey dey tell anoda person to shut up above, it's like u guys hate constructive criticism and are quick to bash with emotions attached? Wearing gloves to sew can be a good health measure in dis trying period. 15 Likes |

The Igboman never gives up. Every challenging situation is an opportunity for him to finding solutions and cashing out. Their ingenuity is second to none in Africa. Just as the Biafran war was an opportunity for them to express their inborn inventive skills through the weapons they developed indigenously, the military era became an opportunity for them to offer Nigerians alternative and cheaper products, which was popularly known Aba Made. The quality may be in doubt, but give it to them, they always make effort to improve their situation, while others spend their time complaining about their situation without any effort.
