Maprince4: No it doesn't have any effect on your ongoing visa processing as the Canadian embassy (IRCC) has assured prospective applicants that applications made during this pandemic moment will not be refused for non-compliance for any requested documents from their office. It will end in praises |

vanessa969: Go ahead and send the updated admission letter to THE NAIROBI WEB FORM or email Nairobi office via this email nrobi-immigration@international.gc.ca and it will be appended on your ongoing application. If any other document is required during the process, you will be contacted to provide them.. It will end in praises. 2 Likes |

Cboss: Use www.ilovepdf.com - Extreme Compression (Less Quality). It might look blur, however that's the available option for you at the moment. The visa officers have their ways of viewing these documents and making it clearer from their end. So many applicants have used this less quality option and still were approved of their visas. A Brief Clarification needed here I just concluded my Youth Service in March 2020. No job employment yet.... Dad is my sponsor and his SOA is sufficient enough for my Tuition & L.E So I wanna ask , 1)how can I justify what I was doing as a Youth corp member for the past one year (Based on Employment) 2) Since I got a Sponsor, is it necessary to talk about or show my income as a Youth Corper I.e. showing my SOA (NYSC Bank Account) which indicates I get monthly allowances from FG thru the NYSC Scheme? 3) Is talking about my work/duty as a corper enuf to justify I was employed without me stating my SOA (NYSC Bank Account) Thanks |

Hi my people, Please, I need some views from the experienced and guru in the house (please, indicate if you have had a personal experience) I just got accepted into a second Master (Research) from a University in Canada. The First Master was in USA and ended last year August but I'm really interested in research and want to be gummed in research towards my PhD. I however have some concerns as I plan to submit my Study permit application against Sept Start. 1. What is the effect of having a current EE profile on success of Study Permits. or to what extend do you think it will affects, has anybody with EE profile been given that you know? 2. Having gotten a Master before and coming for another Master, how will that affect? Though the master I'm coming for is a Research Master unlike the Professional Master I had in USA 3. Do having a part funding from school help in the visa? I was given a funding that is about 60% of my school fees. 4. What tips do have for me that will improve my chances based on your experience? I need an experience person with similar case to guide me personally please, so let me know via inbox if you can. Thanks so much in advance 2 Likes |

Lanrelala: Let me. Do the interpretation. They mean; 1. You dont have enough money on your account. How much did you provide? 2. They are convinced that you will owe school fees because you don't have enough money. 3. They don't like your current job and even your previous jobs. What are you currently doing? 4. You have not travelled out of naija before (although it's not necessary) 5. If you comot naija, you go pass there lost. You won't return back. 2 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Blema111: 9:28am On Apr 04, 2020 |
geosolomac:1. You can justify that using your posting letter/PPA. 2. No 3. Your duty as a Corp member is sufficient employment, just back it up with evidence- ID card, posting letter and all of that. 1 Like 1 Share |

OluwaFavored: OluwaFavored: Welcome to the thread, I hope you will find your stay here very educating and rewarding. With regards to your questions; 1-) As stipulated on IRCC official website, Having 2 intents (1 for temporary residence and 1 for permanent residence) is legitimate. Hence, this doesn't adversely effect your study permit application. For further details relating to this matter, kindly refer to IRCC WEBSITE ON DUAL INTENT. However, I have read a GCMS NOTE where an active EE was a reason for a refusal. This is due to the fact that applicant weren't able to satisfy the visa officer that they will depart from Canada after the authorized period of stay. Notwithstanding, there are many applicants who have been successful with their study visa while having an active EE profile. So i think it boils down to the visa officer in charge of the application. 2-) Going for a second masters degree instead of a PhD can be justified beyond reasonable doubt by explaining to the Visa officer that the previous masters you earned from the US was more of course/project based and thus does not qualify you for a Phd program since your long term goal is to become a lecturer). Go further by rationally explaining to the visa officer that the current 2 years masters which you're opting for at this point in your career is intensely research focused, and will qualify you for, and be a foundation for a related PhD program in the near future. 3-) Having funding doesn't in anyway help your application. You still have to satisfy that you meet the necessary three (3) Canadian immigration requirements for issuance of a study Visa. These three (3) criterions includes; i) Proof of financial sufficiency (you need to also include your SOA, irrespective of the fact that you've funding). ii) Reasons for your planned studies in Canada (this is where your SOP comes in play, the correlation between your previous masters, your current job role and intended program). iii) Your family ties in Nigeria that will compel your departure after studies (spouse, kids, landed property, buildings, investment/shares in banks etc). Note; Applicants who had full funding from potential supervisors were rejected of their visas. So funding doesn't guarantee your Visa approval. Contact a knowledgeable guru on this thread to assist you with your application so as to avoid any mistakes/errors. 4-) Read through my past posts on this thread and follow this link for the LIST OF DOCUMENTS FOR A SUCCESSFUL CANADA STUDY VISA APPLICATION: . I hope this information helps. It will end in praises 3 Likes |
