The french doctor did a study with a very weak design. In brief , he treated 42 patients,(a very small number for that type of study) there was no clear criteria regarding how they would be cured, and he did not treat severely ill patients)

If he had done a RCT....which many studies are doing now..things might have been different.

A doctor was suggesting today that it might be due to the BCG vaccine that is mandatory in Nigeria/Africa to tackle tuberculosis.

My response to that is a big maybe as tuberculosis is a bacterial infection not viral but the antibodies generated may have sequences that are capable of preventing or delaying that critical 'latching of the virus'.

At this point, anything could be responsible for the low rate of Covid mortality we seem to have in Africa.
Is it the water? Many of us still don't have potable water, and its probably riddled with all kinds of germs anyway.

Let's not forget that our major problem healthwise in Africa has always been infectious diseases, so perhaps we have some cross immunity or whatever to this virus, making our swiftly respond to attacking the virus.

There is proof that BCG administration from the late 70s and 80s till date which is rampant in Africa has also boosted the immunity of Africans against COVID 19 unlike the 1st world countries where BCG vaccination against TB had been stopped due to the claimed eradication of TB

3,000 have recovered in the USA in the 48hrs. What is happening there is directly proportional to the number of incidents.

How many times are we going to say this chloroquine is not a cure for coronavirus. It might slow down the spread while ur immune system fight the virus, but it's not a guaranteed cure.
