If you have had the time to take a visit to Bayero University Kano, you will understand what i mean. From the school gate u notice some old men who actually look like beggars but alas, they are actually security men in weird looking blue uniforms.They carry sticks about looking to catch students having fun instead of guarding the school. The school security is in a deplorable state yet the authorities prefer to hire beggars to guard the lives of our children instead of professionals. not too long a student was killed right in front of the University gate by a hit n run driver. Eye witnesses said the 'security men' couldnt even help get a vehicle to convey the victim to d nearest hospital, instead they watched from a distance....what then do they actually do, obviously they dont guard the students

sir, i will lyk 2 say a gud evening b 4 i go to my point... The security men are not there to look 4 student having fun, rather, they are there to secure those student having fun... Calling the security men beggers is an understatement, they should be regarded as thieves just looking 4 ways 2 feed... I hope you know that BUK is in a state that practices Sharia law, hence you can't expect them to allow such acts you refer to as fun within their campuses. Students could always do that outside the school.
For you to refer to them as thieves is also very wrong because they've not stolen from anyone.

The main problem we have in Nigeria is believing in fake information, the person who posted this trash just sat down and think of how to rubbish the school that is more than great, do you really know what (unsecured) mean, I am a student in bayero university, and I will like you to know that buk is one of the seven most peaceful university in Nigeria, The (unsecured) you used in your sentence is not what you are supposed to relate buk with, they have zero tolerance for CULTISM and other related activities, if you want to write something about their security, then know that all securities behave like they are Superior in everything and what they need from you is to cooperate with them, and if you are posting this trash to downgrade universities in the north then you should know that the safest institutions to study in Nigeria are all in the north, because it is hard to witness any form of RAPE CASE, CULTISM,RIOT in northern universities, and what I want you people to know is that posting trash about universities in the north will not upgrade your level, because they have really achieved a lot, I don't really see any educative idea in posting about buk security matter when there are schools in the south that always have CULTIST CLASH, RAPE CASE, ROBBERY without security interfering E.G UNIBEN, CRUTECH, AAU, O.A.U, FUTO, and others that always have related issues, so please becareful about what you will or you post, let me also remind you that I am a student in buk and I have never been harassed by the security men, THANK YOU.

thanks fellow BUKite...ion think I av anytin to add...yhu already say it all...if dia is any skool more secure than BUK let OP tell us...coz since my year 1 in BUK and nau I'm in my final year...av Neva heard of any kinda of anomalies within d skool premises....BUK is a skool yhu can walk alone even in d middle of the nite without any fear of an attack....OP make yhurfindings again...dis wan yhu posted na lie...thank yhu
