lol but I don’t think it has anything to do with money. People with less amount get approvals too.Just have to package your application well. Avoid using agents that will wash your head with old success stories and still charge up 380k just to fill application for you. Most importantly pray

I got a 1st class but CGPA doesn’t matter unless you’re applying for masters to universities. Colleges accept lower grades.
Graceee:

Please what was your undergraduate CGPA before the school offered you an admission

You should apply for him first so he'll use you and his siblings as home ties. By the grace of God when His visa is out then you can now apply

prince Edward island would give him easy route to PR because schooling at PEI would qualify him for the Atlantic Immigration Pilot. Dalhouise university also qualifies him for that program since it lies in Nova Scotia (which is also Atlantic Canada). Carleton university is more prestigious than the two universities (please confirm this online) but unfortunately, carleton university does not lie in the Atlantic region and hence would not qualify him for the pilot program. There are other provinces in Atlantic Canada such as Newofundland (Memorial University of Newfoundland is one of the schools here.)

Lookup: Atlantic Immigration Program and the provinces.

PS: I am not saying that if he schools in carleton he would not be qualified for PR but from my studies, some people that graduate outside the Atlantic Canada later move to the Atlantic region to live and work for some months/years before applying for the Atlantic immigration pilot.

one of the criteria that qualifies you to apply for the Atlantic Immigration pilot is that you must have stayed in the region for up to 2 years. Hence, schooling in that region automatically qualifies him for that.

Goodluck and please read more about what I have advised confirming for yourself.

Cheers and Congrats to your son.

Lest I forget; Apply for him first so that you can serve as home tie and since you have a job already and would be his sponsor.

RAISED EYE BROWS

First Masters in USA? Was there any form of complications?
The first Masters doesn't have a good grade to push you directly into PHD Research? (Your masters doesn't have to be Research inclined)

No one with an opportunity in the US wants to move to study in CANADA, unless there are Here and There issues.

Like i said up there .......... RAISED EYEBROWS

You may have a sincere and good reason, but you nee a lot of work to do in application branding , you will be passing through the eye of the needle sir.

Hi my people,

Please, I need some views from the experienced and guru in the house (please, indicate if you have had a personal experience)

I just got accepted into a second Master (Research) from a University in Canada. The First Master was in USA and ended last year August but I'm really interested in research and want to be gummed in research towards my PhD. I however have some concerns as I plan to submit my Study permit application against Sept Start.

1. What is the effect of having a current EE profile on success of Study Permits. or to what extend do you think it will affects, has anybody with EE profile been given that you know?

2. Having gotten a Master before and coming for another Master, how will that affect? Though the master I'm coming for is a Research Master unlike the Professional Master I had in USA

3. Do having a part funding from school help in the visa? I was given a funding that is about 60% of my school fees.

4. What tips do have for me that will improve my chances based on your experience?

I need an experience person with similar case to guide me personally please, so let me know via inbox if you can.

Thanks so much in advance

You’re right but it depends. My family friend got study permit to do another masters from uk. You just have to explain why you think another masters is necessary and benefit you stand to get. My cousin in us is doing his 3rd masters in the US because he doesn’t want to come back and he’s waiting for his green card. Masters can be done many times if you can afford it.

All the best to that man
God will see him through

Thank you so much. I will apply for him but I'm a bit scared what if I'm not giving a visa? Because my going is to help him settle down. I will be spending 2 weeks only. Yes I work but my husband is the sponsor. He cannot go alone hence I would like to apply first for tourist visa then apply for his own student visa. Pls what do you advise?

There’s still enough time for him to apply for visa, get approval and then you can apply for visit visa. Visit visa is not an issue at all especially if your son has been granted visa to study.

Don’t worry yourself ma you all will get visa and leave come September. God is in control

well, study the time frame it would take him to get approval for his study permit and also the time it would take you to get yours. I believe it would guide you to determine whose visa to apply for first. don't worry so much. He is 18 and should be fine. smiley
