The danger has nothing to do with neither the size of the 12.5 KG gas cylinder nor cooking directly on a fully filled one - people in different climes have been safely cooking directly on even 3 KG fully filled gas cylinders, let alone a 12.5 KG cylinder.

The problem strictly lies in fake gas cylinders and SON hasn't been doing enough in this regard. With original cylinders the problem will be solved.
