Power still no improvement

Education sector is dead.. Buhari sent his kids abroad to study

Health is in comatose... Buhari and his vice kyari only knows the route to the London hospital while you are stuck here

Poverty capital of the world

Unemployment capital of the world

Suicide capital of the world

Dollar to naira is now 410..

What exactly is Buhari good at.... Pighting kwarupsion with Tinubu bullion van master and Ganduje the bribe taking babariga mobile bank

God punish all those supporting this evil administration

I understand that in 2015, many of us were upset at GEJ’s inadequacies and PDP’s corruption in general, but after observing Buhari’s first term in office where we visibly saw that he had no clue about what he was doing in office as president, someone please help me understand how some of us campaigned and re-elected him?

Was this some religious and ethnic loyalty against country, was it ignorance, was it a calculated attempt to spite PDP to our detriment, was it just hope against fact that he’ll pick up his slack, or what was it?

I’m yet to understand this. I’ll have to call out some nairalanders on this
Wailing, wailing, wailing.

Reason is simple - that the ordinary market men and women, the poor people on the street, those people in the village and many other ordinary Nigerians who had endured 16 years of suffering brought upon Nigeria by PDP gang of looters still understand that the problems they created for sixteen years couldn't have been solved in four years. So, they're sensible enough to still queue behind PMB for another four years.

See I understand that some people may have chosen Buhari to spite Atiku and PDP, but does that also mean we should be lying ourselves that Buhari is doing anything close to a good job? Does that mean we should become stooges to these politicians? How could you sell your conscience to a fight that should be about making your country better?

Because of people like you, Buhari will never realize his failings as president, he’ll never know he’s a tyrant and failed leader, he’ll never admit his failures and try to do better

Buhari has met my personal expectation, I want Lagos Ibadan expressway fixed, I'm always afraid of that road, the job is almost complete now, PDP could not give me this in 16 years.
I also have have lights now compare to when I spent an average of 25k on petrol for generator, and l also pay for generator repairs.
In my hood now, artisans are working because they have light, unlike before when they come to sleep in their shops.
My problem with PDP is their insensitivity to glaring dangerous situations.
I passed through Ore on my way to Abuja iin 1999, I was shocked by the state of that road.
I went to Okitipupa in 2009 to attend a party, the traffic logjam on that road was what made me ask what is going on?, the driver explained that the problem is from bad road at Ore.
I was so shocked that ten years after my first encounter with that road, the situation persist.
Only God knows how many people must have died on that road.
I am one of those who NEVER FORGET, i know what I want, I'm always grateful to those who make it happen.
God bless Buhari.

You used 16 years to waste our Commonwealth on private jets, exotic cars, foreign mansions, girlfriends instead of building a sustainable economy, not the voodoo economics of economic growth (mainly in petroleum and Telecom) while unemployment is soaring.
And you are here expecting things to return to normal and improve after 4 years.....

Need I remind you of the numerous unprintable names GEJ was called, did that stop you from loving him, leave name calling abeg

Reserve all these energy you are wasting on wailing for the next elections, electorates are wiser now, they don't want rantings, they want a viable opposition which I'm afraid you have not been

Because PDP presented a worse alternative. We cannot say Buhari is bad and then go ahead to vote for a rogue like Atiku. That would have been moving from fry pan to fire. It is not rocket science and shouldn’t be too difficult to understand.

I somehow doubt whether your opinion would’ve changed if PDP brought a better alternative. You’ll probably still find holes to poke. There were other alternatives, weren’t there? Buhari rigged the election, he didn’t win it, we both know that

Out of all the comments I got from Buhari supporters, This looks reasonably honest. And I get that, no matter if he’s clueless, if the job we want is getting done, then we rather want it to remain so.

I do agree with you about PDP’s recklessness. I’m no PDP supporter either, I disliked the party’s recklessness and insensitivity so much that in 2015, I actively participated in electing Buhari.

But I guess our expectations were different. My expectations were set around corruption fight, high unemployment, Reform of public service institutions, and political ethnic divisions. Infrastructure was a big one as well. Almost zero of these expectations were met. The few times he appeared on TV, I got the sense of a clueless person and I realized my expectations were too high for him, I realized my mistake. He had no clue of how to solve these problems that PDP couldn’t solve, he was more clueless, and he couldn’t stop being a tyrant! The freedom of criticism was suddenly evaporating, and yes, he was a pretender too, he could rig elections to impose himself on us, something GEJ didn’t do. Why not allow the people to decide who leads them? He had his chance just like GEJ, why impose himself on the country?

Here’s the deal for me. Public institutions are still as corrupt and far below performance level, electricity is still a big problem, you mentioned that there was improvement in your area but not mine, insecurity has become worse than it used to be, unemployment has climbed through the roof and corruption fight remains as it used to be; just a few high profile cases while the party continues to endorse people like Gandollar who should’ve been expelled from the party if Buhari was really fighting corruption.

I could go on and on on this but my point is, the country in general has gotten much more worse than it used to be. I get that some things are getting done, so were some things getting done during PDP era, so we can’t call that an improvement.

You see, one of my major problems with PDP was massive election rigging. This has also become a big problem with APC. It was as if GEJ made a huge mistake, because Buhari has become the new nightmare who will not allow the will of the people. If leaders could do whatever they wanted, and allow the will of the people, then I think we probably wouldn’t be having this conversation

Northern Nigerians voted for him, because he's a religious fanatic and unapologetically a Northerner. Someone who will act in their interest, irrespective of how it's perceived or received by other parts of the country.

Yoruba's voted for him, well, at least 50%+ of them, because it meant the VP spot.

Nigerians don't vote for politicians because of their competency, education or plan for the country. We know this, because Buhari didn't attend the political debate. So from the onset, everyone knew he had no real plan for the country, but they still voted for him.

Igbo people didn't vote for him, because he's a bigot and he's unintelligent. Igbo society has always been democratic, which puts us at a disadvantage. Because whereas other regions are thinking about religion, and tribe, literally, ALL THE TIME, Igbo people are thinking about competence, best option, etc. It's what happens if you take a feudal society (Yoruba and Northern Nigeria) and add democracy.

Your last paragraph made a lot of sense. There’s some sort of disconnect in the Nigerian system. If elections were free and fair, Buhari would not be president, he rigged the election, we all know that

Igboland has the highest HDI in Nigeria, and amongst the highest in Africa. With the lowest poverty rate, lowest mortality rate. Highest literacy rate, amongst men and women. Best educated populace (based on JAMB statistics and entry requirements), highest number of SME, and highest disposable income.

All of which has been achieved within the mist of oppression. By other black Africans (Nigerians).

Because Moghalu is Igbo, and it's the turn of the North to produce the next president. Whether you like the arrangement or not. A turn-based system, is the only way of keeping the nation stable. We all see what having Goodluck Jonathan as president caused (Boko Haram).

All Nigerians exalt themselves, in fact, all peoples exalt themselves, that's part and parcel of having a positive perception of self, and said group. Yoruba people aren't any less humble than Igbo people, and that goes for Northern Nigerians. The only difference is in receipts. Whereas Igbo people can back up their boasting, Yoruba people, for example, cannot.

Are you telling me there are no places like above in Ibadan alone, not to talk of Oyo state in general?.
If them dey deceive you, no dey deceive yourself.
For your information, mordernization and the good old days exist side by side in Ibadan.
The place you are trying your best to degrade, was actually THE PLACE, where other Nigerians including your great grandpa uncle's come to enjoy city life way back.
Why do you think Oyo state is called the pace setter?, it is because way back, everything that's done in Oyo is copied everywhere.
You need to go for a tour of Ibadan, and Oyo state in general, this will help you understand what you don't know.

You spoke well. Nigeria is not yet matured for change. In addition, hope those supporters of Buhari car give their cars to an incompetent mechanic to work on it because he's their tribe/religious man? I am very sure Atiku will want to make a difference because at he's age he's already wealthy, highly exposed and civilized. No politician is a saint, I just wonder how adults in Nigeria reason? Believing a politician is perfect with no sins. Funny human beings.

To be sincere with you, most Nigerians refused to see the good in any of the sane candidates.

So when you have a friend enricher with public funds called Atiku as the main challenger, who could not even win his own ancestral village polling unit, it is no mystery how a sleeping Buhari could have won such a challenger.

So the question really is, why did we not give the new and sane contestants a benefit of doubt?
