You don't have to evaluate your wes before applying for study.

You don't have to value your properties. You can simply use your CFO and get an affidavit of asset declaration and you're good to go.

Your son is just 17 now, so don't think too much about PR for now. I will strongly advise he goes to the school offering him co-op as that will give him enough experience while studying.

Hello everyone.

Thank you for all the gurus in the house that keep the thread alive.

Just to chip in a few words from my research.
Applying for a study permit whilst having an active EE profile is allowed and termed as dual intent.

However, you writing an SOP to the visa officer talking about how you will come back once you have finished your studies will be a blatant lie once they see that you have an active Permanent Residency application going on. Moreover, with the high CRS scores these days, a lot of people prefer to go the academic route if the have good grades and the resources.

Also, it is understandable to want to study in Canada as against the US or UK because of the cost and possibility of getting PR or PGWP afterwards.

Also, has anyone applied through the 20 days Nigeria student express stream?
Please kindly share.

Thank you

Good morning house.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by OnyinyeDebabe: 4:36am On Apr 06, 2020
Please house. I am new to this platform which i have heard so much positive news about. I applied for a study permit last year for a certificate program at Niagara college winter jan 2020 session through an agent and was denied for two reasons;
• Purpose of Study and
• employment situation
I have eventually gotten over the heartbreak and desire to proceed for another attempt.
However, i desire to handle the application process myself (of course with the help of the gurus here I’m begging) with hopes for success.

I really want to be intentional and perfect my application. I have taken my time to go through this thread from inception and i believe the informations acquired will help me through my application process.

For now, i want to apply for a certificate/Diploma program in Humber College Ontario and I’m looking at the following programs:
Research Analyst or
Hospitality and Tourism management
Are the programs chosen okay?
Again. How are the success stories this year? I strongly pray those Kenyan dudes will be more merciful this year

Btw, i studied Industrial Maths and Statistics in Uni and graduated with a 2.2 and I’ve been working as a Customer Service Supervisor since 2017.
Any advice will be appreciated and any information required of me will be provided accordingly
Cc @frankrobbn1 please help me sir

Thank you so much. I will apply for him but I'm a bit scared what if I'm not giving a visa? Because my going is to help him settle down. I will be spending 2 weeks only. Yes I work but my husband is the sponsor. He cannot go alone hence I would like to apply first for tourist visa then apply for his own student visa. Pls what do you advise?

Hello Preshy2004,

Considering is age coupled with the reason to help him settle due to his inexperience as a teenager, you can put in a family application ONLY if there is sufficient funds to show. Its best you apply for a visit visa. This normal has been a practice for parents, especially mothers whose teenage child is resuming classes as an UG, even the whites practice this too.

All the best.

Please someone should help me interpret this GCMS and help me tackle.. Na beg I dey.

Hello Lanrelala,

Since the gcms notes is generic and more similar to that of JCXpert, I believe denoted is also applicable to you.

N.B: I couldn't edit but it still shade light to suit your situation.

The VO was concerned about your level of establishment in your home country, maybe the VO wasn't satisfied/convinced enough on how you demonstrated how well-established you are, in terms of socioeconomic engagement/reliability. Sometimes, these concerns can as well generate from the part of the sponsor because majorly, the sponsor's sufficiency and capability is used to scrutinize the applicant/application.

On your part also, based on the notes, you failed to demonstrate the employability of your proposed course of study and ways it could help you offset the cost of study. Even if the VO have full knowledge about the lucrativeness of such course, it is right to educate/enlighten the VO about it, especially the doubt of no readily available jobs/employment after incurring the high cost of study. On the other hand, if you're currently employed, demonstrate how lucrative and how reliable your expertise can be in your workplace (your employment letter of introduction/LOE can help in this aspect) amongst other financial incentives.

This time around, focus on step-by-step approach in expatiating your explanations/reasons/potentials/prospect when demonstrating your level of establishment, and that of your sponsor. In this regard, by revamping your study plan/sponsorship letter and including any relevant documents that would improve your application.

If you get naira account can you pay another currency into it? USD and CAD are they the same currency?

Hello JummyFash,

No, you can't but you can only do so by paying its equivalent in naira into it. Both currency are not the same irrespective of bearing the same currency name. The USD is higher in value and its pegged to the international monetary trading standard. Also, the CAD is also of high value comparing to our beloved Naira.

Hello Jamesd09878,

It is not necessary but there is no harm either if you have the funds and time at disposal. However, one advantage of evualuating with WES is that any school may likely accept a WES academic evaluation report in place of requesting for an official transcript or certification directly from you graduate school (it is also advisable to inquire from your prospect school) and will still come handy when applying for PR.

Hello, great people. Pls I need an advice. My son 18 years got admission to carleton university, software with a co-op program and scholarship of 4k CAD. Prince Edward computer science, and Dalhousie University software. Pls we are a bit confused on which one to accept. Also which will be easier for him as PR after schooling.
Secondly, pls can i apply for visa when applying for him Or I should apply first before applying for him? Pls help your sister.

Hello Preshy2004,

There are many of opportunities in Ontario, especially with a co-op program. For the fact that Carleton University offered him a program with co-op, that should be his best bet. People who schools in a particular provinces end up emigrating to another province for work or flexible PR when compared to Ontario.

If PR is the main goal for him, then Prince Edward should be considered, by relocating to do a Master in the province. The small disadvantage about this peovince is due to its limited job availability but believe people are still thriving there. If you son is an athlete or desire to participate in athletics, the this province is actually suitable for him due to their scholarship and opportunity programs for athletes. It is also very cheap in terms of LE.

Hi my people,

Please, I need some views from the experienced and guru in the house (please, indicate if you have had a personal experience)

I just got accepted into a second Master (Research) from a University in Canada. The First Master was in USA and ended last year August but I'm really interested in research and want to be gummed in research towards my PhD. I however have some concerns as I plan to submit my Study permit application against Sept Start.

1. What is the effect of having a current EE profile on success of Study Permits. or to what extend do you think it will affects, has anybody with EE profile been given that you know?

2. Having gotten a Master before and coming for another Master, how will that affect? Though the master I'm coming for is a Research Master unlike the Professional Master I had in USA

3. Do having a part funding from school help in the visa? I was given a funding that is about 60% of my school fees.

4. What tips do have for me that will improve my chances based on your experience?

I need an experience person with similar case to guide me personally please, so let me know via inbox if you can.

Thanks so much in advance

Hello OluwaFavored,

A second Master isn't a red flag if your reasons are properly stated or highlighted. Also, a dual intent of having a running EE and applying for a study permit is recognized by IRCC but however, the VOs exercise the right of discretion to either refuse or approve such application. There are people who have succcessfully achieved this fest in the erstwhile. However, if you have not gotten the ITA and only been in the pool, then applying for the SP application won't be considered as a dual intent and processed accordingly.

The stated reasons you gave here for wanting to do a second Master is very good but you need to build more on it. Its advisable to give compelling reasons than some generic or commonly used lines to make your case. It has to be unique because the VO will be thirsty for some reasonable answers. I think approaching your reasons from a steady viewpoint of some course deficiency or dearth in some certain areas of knowledge acquisition. Ultimately, you can state the fact for what it is like being wanting to be well-grounded from both a professional/practical stand-point which was the principal focus of the first Master and as an academia/theoretical/research aspects which is the main focus of the second Master. This becomes vital keypoints if the second Master is related or closely related to the first.

However, receiving a funding isn't a sure guarantee for a possible approval but in your ways could still play some unforeseen roles. So, the best way is to apply like every other applicant that doesn't have funding. This together with the funding can strengthen your financial proof. This doesn't mean that you should run shelter-skelter for funds but just show what will be sufficient for the first year in inclusion to your funding.

Good morning ladies & gentlemen

Wanna ask

1.)How do one justify the authenticity of Sponsor's (DAD) SOA in an SOP
(Heard some where that Banks will need to write a Letter that so so amount has bin set aside for His Sons L.E., Tuition Fee, Bla, Bla)

2)How do i justify my L.E. ($10K CAD) is in my DADS Account and will be transferred to me when I arrive Canada.

Thanks

That's not true

Large no. Of Colleges that offers PGC/PGD don't require result evaluation by WES. So far so good, mostly potential Masters student and Students going for undergraduate program are required to Evaluate their result by WES

Check out The schools in Ontario Colleges. They are are lotta colleges dat offers PGD/PGC
