The age doesn’t matter if he’s going for post study but might be hard getting admission except his work experience will support. I applied to mun but was denied because my bsc did not match . What is his CGPA.

I was told that it’s only if you studied abroad like Australia or Us or Europe that you don’t need evaluation but for Nigeria you need except you went to aun or baze etc. Which college does not require Wes?the link you put shows all colleges not wants that exempts wes. Please help

I can categorically tell u DAT u ain't need WES evaluation to get admitted with ur B.SC/HND to Cambrian College at Sudbury Ontario
& Niagara College, Ontario

For Cambrian College, ur University won't be sending ur Transcript to the sch. , jz get d Student copy of ur transcript from the sch., Notarize it in the court of law, Scan and Upload it to the required section.... That's all..

From my little knowledge of WES, potential Undergraduate Students, Potential Master Students & those applying for Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) are the ones that do WES evaluation of their academic credentials

I stand to be corrected

But does this colleges require you to send transcripts directly from your university or you can just upload it and move ahead? From their website it says your qualifications have to be notarised and sent by your institution. Is almost the same procedure for wes

No, (Cambrian College to be Precise), u get the Transcript from ur sch. (probably a Certified Student copy) , Notarize it In the court of law, Upload and Move ahead. Shikena

From the Screenshots of the two schools u uploaded here, dey are telling u to get ur Academic Documents Notarized e.g Certificate of Highest Degree, Transcript and Probably Letter of Confirmation of Proficiency in English language from the sch. U graduated from

Welcome to the thread, I hope you will find your stay here very educating and rewarding.

With regards to your questions;

1-) As stipulated on IRCC official website, Having 2 intents (1 for temporary residence and 1 for permanent residence) is legitimate. Hence, this doesn't adversely effect your study permit application. For further details relating to this matter, kindly refer to IRCC WEBSITE ON DUAL INTENT. However, I have read a GCMS NOTE where an active EE was a reason for a refusal. This is due to the fact that applicant weren't able to satisfy the visa officer that they will depart from Canada after the authorized period of stay. Notwithstanding, there are many applicants who have been successful with their study visa while having an active EE profile. So i think it boils down to the visa officer in charge of the application.

2-) Going for a second masters degree instead of a PhD can be justified beyond reasonable doubt by explaining to the Visa officer that the previous masters you earned from the US was more of course/project based and thus does not qualify you for a Phd program since your long term goal is to become a lecturer). Go further by rationally explaining to the visa officer that the current 2 years masters which you're opting for at this point in your career is intensely research focused, and will qualify you for, and be a foundation for a related PhD program in the near future.

3-) Having funding doesn't in anyway help your application. You still have to satisfy that you meet the necessary three (3) Canadian immigration requirements for issuance of a study Visa.

These three (3) criterions includes;
i) Proof of financial sufficiency (you need to also include your SOA, irrespective of the fact that you've funding).
ii) Reasons for your planned studies in Canada (this is where your SOP comes in play, the correlation between your previous masters, your current job role and intended program).
iii) Your family ties in Nigeria that will compel your departure after studies (spouse, kids, landed property, buildings, investment/shares in banks etc).

Note; Applicants who had full funding from potential supervisors were rejected of their visas. So funding doesn't guarantee your Visa approval. Contact a knowledgeable guru on this thread to assist you with your application so as to avoid any mistakes/errors.

4-) Read through my past posts on this thread and follow this link for the
LIST OF DOCUMENTS FOR A SUCCESSFUL CANADA STUDY VISA APPLICATION: .

I hope this information helps.

It will end in praises

What happens if the EE profile is withdrawn or cancelled before the application for SP is made, will the record still show and considered as dual intent?

1.)How do one justify the authenticity of Sponsor's (DAD) SOA in an SOP
(Heard some where that Banks will need to write a Letter that so so amount has bin set aside for His Sons L.E., Tuition Fee, Bla, Bla)

2)How do i justify my L.E. ($10K CAD) is in my DADS Account and will be transferred to me when I arrive Canada.

Thanks

(1) There is nothing to justify really in your sponsor's SOA. The best your bank can do is give the owner of an account a letter stating how long the account has been operated for, how good the customer has been and if your sponsor is the sole signatory to the account. They cannot comment on what the money will be used for because if the money is not used for that purpose they can be held liable.

(2) Your dad will give you his SOA, try to prove he has always being responsible for your studies and submit your birth certificate to show proof that he is actually your dad.

or he can simply transfer the LE to your account and state how much in his sponsorship letter. You will need to submit your SOA alongside his for proof.

You can also create a table showing total available funds in your sponsor's account, funds transferred to your account, total amount of funds available for your studies and so forth. You need to show proof. You can go further by converting to Canadian dollars in another table stating clearly the site you used for conversion. Oanda is approved by UK for conversion, you can try it.

P.s What I have stated above is optional. So many people have submitted SOA without a letter from bank and had their applications approved. I did not include a letter from bank in my application and still got approved in 2018.

Hello Skymoore1004,

Skymoore1004:
going to your graduate school to request for them to send transcripts in Nigeria is not beans o. So if I’m applying to three universities that’s how I will going to the registrar. Is not better to do the Wes sir? Or is there any university/college that doesn’t require wes or transcripts sent to them

Requesting the transcript might not really be the problem for some people with time and money and it maybe for some. The transcript and the likes are normally issued by the admissions office without the person going directly to the registrar. Considering the purpose, cost or expenses that maybe incurred in both ways, you alone know you financial budget and the choice would be yours to make.

Academic credentials from WES (and taking IELTS) are not a necessary requirements in securing admissions or study visa to Canada. However, doing this may have certain advantage that the graduate admissions committee may discretionally use to assessment an applicant as an edge over others. However, you don't need WES evaluation to get an admission in Canada.

Hello Geosolomac,

You can't justify the authenticity of your father's BA with your SOP but however you can use it to just the source of funds as reflected in the BA statement. Its only the reference letter from the bank that can partially prove its authenticity until IRCC verifies by themselve. The content of the letter normal states the name of the bona-fide owner and signatory of the account, date of when the account was created and also that the appeared name is a client/customer of the bank etc.

You can justify it by simply stating that your father has or your LE of $10k is well-secured in your father's BA which will be readily available to you prior to your resumption.

All the best.
