Na only you be town planner? how many States have you been to?
The only state I've not been to is Sokoto.
How many have you been to before you start arguing blindly and ignorantly?

I always laugh when people come here to post pictures of GRA, Aba road and Trans Amadi layout and claim that is all there is to Port Harcourt.
The OP has posted pictures of the real Port Harcourt that they hide from you with the narrow roads and speed breakers/speed bumps everywhere.
OP posted pictures of slums and not portharcourt, these are the areas that the then governor Rotimi Amechi planned to demolish and rebuild but some people protested among them is mama Peace.

Some notorious areas in Agege, Alimosho, Ifako Ijaiye are getting a facelift, these a slumlike communities in Lagos unlike VI, Lekki, Ikoyi you mentioned.
I'm talking about the environment in general not just roads, the roads in these pictures aren't bad.
grin grin you will ask yourself is this Ikoyi ?when you see the way some parts of it are.
On a general note, Nigeria is worst when it comes to infrastructure , the only good places are inhabited by the high class citizens.

The problem with most of you guys is that you guys fail to see things from a wider and different perspective. You guys fail to travel and study and research about other places. This has made you guys are very comfortable in your zone and blinded you from the realities of modernization. Kano is bigger, more populated and more organized with better infrastructures than PH. Fact!
Kaduna, Enugu town, Jigawa, Katsina, have better roads and infrastructures than PH despite the billions of Naira and Pounds and Dollars spent in PH. Don't argue about things you don't know.

Just remove Enugu from there, it is an overhyped village. I know there too well

Thank you all
I enjoyed all the ranting, scuffle n fighting..
Buh in conclusion..

We shouldn't be applauding all these gang of thieves in government. They only do a few mediocre job and make it seem like they've built heaven on earth.
No matter where you representing, be bold to unveil the bullshit and craps around your locality. Itz for your own good benefit and not hiding it and appraising the few good environments around you.

Cmon folks.. We can do better cos we deserve better than what we are getting..

GET THE MESSAGE AND NOT WHERE IT'S FROM!

But wait o, i believe the issue isn't wether port Harcourt isn't beautiful (I know it is) for that dude posting counter pics without addressing the op pics

Issue is actually whether what was posted is actually in Rivers State (which alot have affirmed to be but a slum).

My question is if this places are in the very capital of Rivers "portharcourt" is there no way the places can be redesigned by Government without the fear of them been homeless?

For crying out loud this is oil rich portharcourt and that waterside even has some advantage to the government if we'll arranged

The excuse of ghetto exist everywhere is not enough as this excuse can also serve to alot of bayelsans who have plenty of this kind of environment as mainstay

Every city in Nigeria have their dirty areas. Yes PH has slums(bigger slums exist in other cities) but even the slums in PH are cleaner than the highbrow areas of Onitsha.

Stop misyarning, PORT HARCOURT is a very filthy city, even worse than Aba, forget the propaganda. If real PORT HARCOURT is exposed, you go run comot for here. Just be humble, that's what you need now and not making noise. Everyone has seen how dirty PORT HARCOURT is, and you can see how wowed they all are. This is an unprecedented filth.
