Isn’t fcmb touching 1.60? I placed a limit order to buy at that price I don’t know why it’s not been filled yet by my broker. I used Afrinvest self trading app.

How will it be filled at 1.60 when they are already bidding at 1.63?

Better go for best market price 'cos it gonna be 10 10% starting from today to Friday.

Please, I bought zenith at 19.50
I'm thinking of selling it now at35% loss and rebuying when it tanks again. Do you think it's financially wise?
Ogini? Why not average down instead, if the fund is available?

This is about the news to have come out of this gov't in a long while.
...great move I must say.

This(together with the recent Naira devaluation or currency adjustment as the CBN prefers to call it) should help spur the much needed interest on the part of FDIs and FPIs.
...the later group(FPIs) will likely begin to realign their interest in the equities market. Especially when u consider that most assets are now ridiculously underpriced.

Contrarily though, its a negative for coys in the oil & gas space, as the absence of 'free money'(subsidy) bites into earnings. I expect to see a little more strain with contracting margins going forward.
I have since said that coys in the oil & gas sector should be avoided.
Except for MOBIL/11 PLC(where there's an expected MTO @ premium to market), other coys should be avoided.
particularly TOTAL and OANDO. ...the latter remains a value trap for us.

SELL !!

DISCLAIMER: NOT to be infered as any sought of recommendation. ...the need for due diligence should still take higher precedence ahead of this post.

My advise: Pls follow ur instinct.

U see that 61M cross deal of GTB... grin grin grin

These 'guyz' are full of mystery. wink cheesy grin
Some folks will be left behind.

I would advise any one yet to enter the market to keep their money.
Hold Cash if you did not buy when market when down.

After result and dividend payment, the market will go down seriously... Q1 and Q2 2020 results will not be nice and NSE will go down to record lows.

Next earning season is March 2021...a lot can happen.

Don't come with had I known. Retain CASH!

*CBN does not have QE... NSE is OYO!

You are the only person who can answer that question for yourself self.

If you can't identify what you need to buy, it will be better if you

Keep your money in the bank or you buy money market funds.

Q2 u mean.
Impact in Q1(if any) will be very MINOT.
The twin evil of the worry with covid-19 and oil price slump started in mid March, which was already near the end of Q1, so don't expect any material drawback in the FP of quoted coys by then.
...impact will begin to manifest(albiet low) by Q2.

But even then, its not for coys that are antifragile(can infact benefit from current events) and robust(have relatively strong immunity(balance sheet)).
Ur worry is definitely not for coys like MTN, WAPCO, UACN, PZ, CAVERTON, GTB, ZENITH, UBA AIICO, CUSTODIAN, all coys in the HEALTH SECTOR and a few other select stocks.
Soon, certain things will become clear to some of u. shocked shocked

DISCLOSURE: We do not hold all of the aforementioned coys.
NOTE: NOT an investment advice.

It is well.

I was actually talking about companies yet to declare dividend, i.e. I still qualify for this year's dividend.

Merci.

What will you do after buying and you qualified for dividends, but later discovered that the stock lost 50% after dividend payment?

What will you do?

Do you have the temperament to be calm or to panic when such happens

You cant blame them, because anything is possible.

At N5.00, that means they valued the whole of Zenith bank at about N150 billion.

Meanwhile Zenith bank made a profit after tax of over N200 billion in 2019, moved over N110 billion to the reserves and has over N600 billion as retained earnings.

But chief,
It is not logical.
How can a company that made profit of 200 billion sell for 150 billion. grin
Even those waiting for WAPCO at 6 naira are happily buying above 10 naira with celebration.
Anyways, I wish those waiting at 5 naira junction good luck.

I replied your mail since day one but you never get back to me.

Full bid means buyers wanted to buy a particular stock at the highest price trading for the day but there are no sellers.

Zenith bank at N5.00 with outstanding shares of about 30 billion.

Will give you a market capitalisation of N150 billion.

That is the madness exhibited in the market, just be liquid or have enough cash flow that will enable to make profits from the irrationality of the market.
