I saw a domain on expired domain, a google and bing web search of the keywords that make up the domain reveals 3.3 Billion and 124 Million on google and Bing respectively with lots of companies using the key words in their domains.

Should i go ahead and purchase the domain, advice urgently needed please.

Depending on what he is referring to as scam. He might be referring to your claim as the owner as scam or your claim of what the domain can do. Either way, what you need to do is to show proof.

I was in a similar situation some weeks ago, I outbounded a domain and a guy showed interest. So he asked me to copy his assistant on future conversation. After payment, na so the P.A said I was a scam and they have contacted their bank. The P.A said he knew my trick bla bla bla.

I was like sho gbadun sha

I had to message the oga gan gan with proof that I was the owner of the domain while copying the P.A. Then I send the P.A another message say make e no try am again, say why e go dey call me a scammer say e get proof and what did I did to ever warrant such.

Las Las, we became friends after I transferred the domain to his account sha. That one sef na story for another day.

Tl;DR
Show him proof you're the owner of the domain. Screenshot the domain of interest residing in your domain portfolio and send it to him.

P.S: Now that I'm thinking of it, DAN seems to (sometimes) have problem with processing funds.

Members were benefiting from the free service and everywhere was perfect.

Unfortunately, one day, some people here ganged up against the guy and said he was spamming, dropping valueless names.

After several back and forth, that was how the guy respected himself and stopped dropping names. Like you rightly said, we are our very own enemies.

On the contrary, there are also threads on Namepros where experienced domainers drop excellent names for people to register. It's called GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY.
