Ok na,
High court will overrule magistrate court (lower court)

It is still Rivers State versus Caverton, which will be heard at the State High court not a Federal High Court.

Wike appointed the State chief judge

How can one calculate Break Even Price for a stock without using the option provided on Morgan. I have some stocks I bought with another broker at a higher price but averaged down using Morgan. Want to be able to set an exit of at least 50% once the price hits the BEP.

If this news is reliable,I think a lot of stocks can do 10% today and Wapco can do another 10% tomorrow based on general market positive divergence.

Let's continue to enjoy.
Which news?

Since you do not want to use Morgan's what you will have to do is to get the purchase prices of the said shares as it was bought at interval. Write down them down, write down the total amount spent on charges at those interval. Calculated the amount you intend to sell and get the selling charges that amount/quantity.

Add the total amount you bought that set to the buying and selling charges. Divide it by the number of shares. The amount you are to sell to avoid any loss will show.

So if you bought it 5 times at 5 different amounts..just calculate each set you bought that way add them together then divide it with the total amount of that shares you have.

It's alright then.

Nothing is certain chief. We just draw inference from couple of market tools, data, and general outlook. I might be very wrong. Monitoring the way people throw huge offers when you anticipate bull on wapco gives some insight.

BETWEEN WAPCO AND THE QUEST FOR REWARD...

Some folks will sell off their WAPCO and we shall proceed to march forward.
Unless u know not how to thoroughly interpret a coys financial statement, there are plenty of positives in the company's 2019 YE financial print.
Some key takeaways:

• The group witnessed a remarkable jump accross several key revenue and earnings line. ...with AGPR, AER, EV, ROAA ROAE and EM all showing appreciable improvement.
• The company is currently well hedged against Fx related risk... with a no less than 21% support cushion away from a devaluation.
...the interpretation of this is that unless there's a >21% run in Fx devaluation(on the Naira against the $ and other key currencies), WAPCO is immune to currency risk.
• The 3 yr PTR(pioneer tax relief) will likely add over 11B to the group's purse.
• The coy also currently enjoys a favourable grant from the FG via the CBN/BOI at below-market interest rate.
• The merger with one of its subsidiary(Larfage Readymix), a part of the in-house innovative drive by management is expected to save cost of near 2B and boost overall earnings by circa 10-13%.
...management also did well to supplement that with a cut down on admin expense and other opex line by circa 29.3% and 31.5% respectively.

However, I am curious to know more about the company's benefit from its JV asset with CBI(continental blue inv, Ghana) wherein it owns a 35% majority stake.
The group recently granted a $1.39M loan to CBI(a coy with interest in development, financing and operation of cement grinding plant in Ghana) @ an interest rate of LIBOR(1 yr) + 11% p/a, with due date to yr 2023.
CBI Ghana is not a quoted company.
LARFAGE reported the loan @ NAFEX rate in their result, and guided that it earns interest from it on a monthly basis.(NTS in view)

That said, the coys report card shows lots of potential for inherent REWARD and less downside for RISK.

In investing in this coy, the KEY things I was looking out to see, is that magt did infact learn from their misfortunes between 2016 to mid 2018, and is working to ensure a non-repetition on them.
If LARFAGE were to snap it off from their past woes and grow having made worthy moves(delaveraging efforts, key divestiture etc) to a great point of inflection, then there was need to set in motion a good mechanism to;

1) OPTIMIZE COST(both from their expense and interest bearing line)
2) BE INNOVATIVE so recent efforts on restructuring can yield the needed fruits.
3) GROW EARNINGS.

How have they(management) faired on all 3 lines?
Well, looking at their FY 2019 FP, I'd score them a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10.

More work needs to be done though.
The report highlights clear possibilities of a great REWARD for a mid to long term investor.

HOLD !!

DISCLAIMER: NOT an investment advise. ...due diligence still applies as always.

Selah

On WAPCO, my FVE using a blend of appropriate valuation model pegs @ N28.65.
...which projects an approx 143% discount(potential price appreciation) from the current mkt price of N11.80 !!

And for a stock with an EPS of N7.15 at present, don't rule out the possibility of a further 80-115% gain from today's mkt price in the short to mid term.

Note that the thing about the one-off accrued gain/input from the recent sale of its South African business arm was raked-off/discounted before arriving @ that N28.65 valuation.

Again, yes, there'll be bumps(the result of intermittent profit taking) along the way, but forward we shall move !!

...that coy(WAPCO) will 'go places'. Another is UACN !!

To those in; HOLD !!
To those looking to align; ACCUMULATE !!

Time will help set matters straight and put them in their right perspective.

CAVEAT: NOT an investment recommendation.

Enough said.

What of a whole peterichy that despised the caution/ red flag given by pa Emma on Uacn few days ago and he proudly grabbed a copy yesterday for the sake of dividend and unbundling.

Leave the capoil guy alone.Afterall he hasn't paid any school fees before.

That means you have sold the millions UACN units you acquired at N7.50. at a loss again : it's time to go village and appease the gods.

Since last year Nov this my 4th trip on UACN. What is happening now is simply shaking out weak hands afterwards the SPEED JET will ZOOM OFF to N9 junction before refuelling.

If you are not a short termer, it is good.
However, I will say dont buy all at once in case it pullback, you can then buy more.
Not saying it will pullback at the currentprice or not, but the phrase remains "anything is possible".
Do your due dilligence. This is strictly my opinion......... grin

So, this drives up the price of the stock?
Yes. Most of the time. It's a factor of demand and supply.
High demands against few offers. It can also be vice versa, wen offers exceeds demands
...................but there could be exceptions to these on few occasions depending on certain factors.
