I tell you what 26M acres can settle 1M household - about 5M south africans- each owning 26 acres - enough to engage in profitable smallholder farming. The gov just need to learn from kenya and many countries with small holder models. Organize them into cooperative and productivity will beat commercial farms.

It's not true that smallholder farming is not profitable. Kenya does better than south Africa is you consider acreage. Kenyans were told such nonsense when the British were around with large farms.
