Air Peace, Nigeria’s foremost airline today made another history as its Boeing 777-200ER (P4 5-NBVE) landed in Beijing, China, after a 14-hour direct flight.

According to a satellire image, the plane landed at 14:18pm local time, not long ago this night (Nigerian time).

The Air Peace is in China to airlift the Federal Government’s medical supplies for the fight against COVID-19.

This is the first time a Nigerian airline would be doing a direct non-stop 14 hours flight to China.

I never understood why people would be proud that their citizens were out there as doctors, nurses, etc. The skills they badly need. I only see this in Ghana and Nigeria.

I think west Africans need a change in mindset.

You take on average maybe 25-30yrs to train a doctor - and if you're going to send them all over the world - then you've lost it.

Education is very expensive. Kenya maybe spend 30% of it's budget on it. That is like 5B dollars annually. 25 years...you're spend 100B dollars. If the money was invested to build roads and railways - we would be so far ahead - but we know ignorance is more expensive.But if we spend 100B dollars to train manpower for other countries - we would be so damned.

This is what is ailing west Africa...BRAIN DRAIN since 15th century.

@edon, SA students are enjoying a lot of privileges more than ever these days there's Rhodes/Mandela/Bill Clinton scholarship fund, R Bronson scholarship fund, Oprah Winfrey etc..funds and state funds that make it easy for our students to enter Oxford, Harvard, MIT, Cambridge etc... they are well.looked after they don't beg abroad....
