Veey good movie, all these "based on true life story" films tend to be epic... Enjoyed it, Anytime I see Michael B. Jordan all I see is Killmonger, don't think I have seen him in any other movies, was really impressed with his performance... Jamie Foxx killed it as usual ✔️

Genre: Fantasy, Horror, Thriller

The Hansel & Gretel story is nothing new, it's been told & retold countless times, only that this time around, it was a huge dumpster fire.

I tried so hard to follow up on the plot of this flick, but i couldn't, cause there was literally no plot in the first place to follow up on. This ought to be a horror flick, so the genre says, but it was no were near scary, the suspense & thrills were also kinda on vacation. Asides the very good cinematography & ok acting, the movie had nothing else in it's favour.

Of all the Hansel & Gretel I've seen so far, i think the Witch Hunters(2013) is the best amongst em' all.

And also am kinda tired of this male bad, female good trend in Hollywood movies of late, why are some selected Hollywood movies bent on sowing & propagating this discord of hate.

The action sequences were flashy. That's it. That's the only positive thing I took away from this movie.
Plot had a good concept but ran it into the ground halfway when they decided to go the CW family drama route.
Dialogue in a lot of places was cringey as fvck. Some scenes actually had me faceplaming.
The only people that looked like they were invested in this movie were Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Benedict Wong. The others looked like they couldn't wait to get the filming over with.

Lolz... The emboldened was totally wicked, CW wouldn't forgive you for this.

Basically the only the CGI they had to get right was the "De aging" CGI because it embodies the entire essence and plot of the movie (pitting Will Smith and CGI Will Smith against each other) and the bad CGI was one of the main reason the movie bombed but go on....

It will ultimately FLOP and they know it, they are just trying to limit the level of flopness, whether massive or standard.

Funny enough they ain't confident about it, Disney had some reshoots done mid last year after Fox acquisition. In the recent trailer I noticed some slight difference.
