Education is very expensive. Kenya maybe spend 30% of it's budget on it. That is like 5B dollars annually. 25 years...you're spend 100B dollars. If the money was invested to build roads and railways - we would be so far ahead - but we know ignorance is more expensive.But if we spend 100B dollars to train manpower for other countries - we would be so damned.

This is what is ailing west Africa...BRAIN DRAIN since 15th century.

More still, Nigerians are by far the most hospitable people I've met so far (Take that from a Nigerian who co-habited in a hostel with Non-Nigerians across Africa for a year, and has seen first hand how his countrymen swarmed around the foreigners to dash them the loving a fellow Nigerian would literally slave to get). There might be ulterior motives behind some of the welcoming attitudes, but life is give and take. Funny enough, most of these guys are from poorer African countries. How about that?

I know Nigerians well enough to conclude that any act "generosity" usually has either an ulterior motive like you said or just another way to show off I've had them as neighbours in the past, so I know the ways of a typical Nigerian well. Personally, I don't think I have any feelings for white people as a collective. Apathy is the right word to describe it. I neither hate them nor love them. Individually though, I've met a few I genuinely liked & another few that I intensely disliked for one reason or another. Such is the nature of human interactions, people are either a hit or a miss. I don't dwell on either though because I just don't care enough, I guess. Shrugs. IDK why but I have this laziness towards generating emotions in general.
