fergie001: wike is 150% wrong. It's glaring that the 10billion is his pain. How can he say he his acting on intelligent report that they are bringing positive people.Nowbhe didn't ask that the pilots and passangers should be Quarantined rather he took them to prison. So if they are truely infected which he can't verify seems he didn't do any test on them ,what is the fate of inmates and prison warden.Wicked Wike has rathered Expose thousands in the prison to the virus. until we act like humans and not like animals with this our praise singing we would forever be considered MONKEYS by civilized humans. 2 Likes |

As a Rivers man myself, I have never been a fan of Wike. But this decision is the perfect one. You can't flout a lockdown by the government. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Tetrahedron: That’s what Nigerians or ph people don’t understand or will never understand.... There is job loss by all those rivers state citizen that works for the helicopter company and their families will be 100% hit by this... offshore oil workers have no means of transportation to off shore rigs etc. The funny and sad part is at the end of month Wike go call Abuja for monthly oil allocation... mad people everywhere. Black people with black ideas... all he had to do was legislate a law first (an announcement on tv, radio or newspaper is not law) and state the consequences of breaking the law and then take things from there... Worst case from breaking law is a monetary fine and not arrest... Now by arresting these pilots with his over 100 people entourage and taking these pilots to jail has exponentially increased the spread of covid19 in rivers state... dumb motherf__kers. Wike despite his good intention has poured kerosine on fire and that’s disaster. 3 Likes |

skedman:Common bro are you reading what you wrote? Based on your analysis, the airport belongs to the federal government, hence, their authority stops at the airport! Now moving the passengers out of the airport would imply that the company or better still the federal government informs the one in charge of that state for permission to enter! Its that simple! These companies knew they were supposed to call the state government or even request that the federal government informs the state government of the arrival of passengers to the state! This is what is obtainable in other developed or developing countries in the world but these companies just misbehave when they come to Nigeria because they know that they can get away with anything here! 2 Likes |

It has to be politicised You cannot sit in Abuja and say oil must flow at any cost disregarding the health and welfare of Rivers people and ignoring their governor and announce some selfish exemptions. Are Rivers people not human I support Wike 100%. I would advise Makanjuola ,the owner, to go and work things out with Wike and comply with the rules This is not a military government. Why are they landing at an Airforce base? Who authorised that ?. Those soldiers at the base have families and interact with Rivers people. This disease is not a joke 3 Likes 1 Share |

gibzzhd:Nobody is praise-singing... I am not in Wike's mind to know whether his decision is influenced by Lagos' 10bn naira loan. You want Wike to ask them if they quarantined themselves, the Chinese doctors that came in yesterday are been quarantined and will remain there for 2 weeks. The task force has been announcing this for weeks, even televised their arrival. The Americans & Europeans leaving this country is been announced severally by agencies of the FG. Now you don't tell the CSO of the State, what's going on...and you expect him to be asking you at every arrival? First, if Wike was an APC Gov, he will obviously have overlooked it. He isn't, and he is within his rights to do that. The Minister after finding out should know he is in the wrong and speak to the Gov, instead of releasing press statements. Now, it has been locked, Sirika should go and open it. Does it make the whole thing right? For the records, Wike didn't take them to prison, he took them to Court. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

skedman: Are you stupid or what? Did they inform the state of their arrival or will those important people remain inside the airport? Is their lives worth more than those of millions of people living in rivers? Who will be blamed if the virus enters the state the way it's in Lagos or who will be the one running around? Is the airport sited in the air? Will they work or live in the airport after their arrival? Are you not aware of those Chinese that came in yesterday? Didn't you see how their issue was handled and they are currently in isolation. People like you are the cause of Nigeria's present condition. 5 Likes |

openmine: You people type too much while you stick your head in sand. A lockdown is not a zombie apocalypse... So farmer should not produce garri or tomatoes because of lockdown?... Mechanic that fixes ambulances and machines at hospital should stay home? Companies that make medical face mask or medical equipments and parts should stay home? Idiots. Now show me the whole written legislation or law that was enacted by Rivers state government on covid19? Honestly there is none apart from press release or tv or radio announcement. The next step is to revoke the company's land allocation and let me see if sakira, no, sirika will tell wike that Rivers state has no right over such too. Useless FG trying to suffocate us. 3 Likes 1 Share |

friday2011: NNPC officially applied for a waiver from the state government. Even some multinationals did so. Its left for the governor to grant them the waiver or not. The people they flew in will they live inside caverton office at the base? I repeat NNPC that's FG owned followed due process, why not caverton? If you dont know NNPC, DPR etc staff fly as well to offshore locations. |

fykes: Wike, The Executive Governor himself benefitted from "Federal Might" when he was a Minister before he resigned to seek Office. And then the FG. Was at logger heads with the Governor of the state. Now that he is at the receiving end of this drama called politics he is now a Victim ? Hahahahaha! These guys are artistes. By the way I support/Voted none of these feuding parties. But he definitely is not a victim of "federal might". 1 Like |
