Apparently black South Africans have 69% Sub-saharan African DNA, while the remaining 21% could be anything from Khoisan-European. I know certain subgroups in my culture eg. AmaMpondo have admixture. Same with a clan called "Skhoji", those ones have Scottish ancestry, even though they identify as Xhosa like the rest of us with a complicated bloodline.

Would love to take a DNA test just out of curiosity.

A very interesting read on cultural links: the author assumes we dropped a matriarchical culture due to the Masaai but imo,it may have happened in S Ethiopia. The biggest takeaway is that inter tribal hostility was more of a combat sport,in no way reminiscent of White mass murder!

@xhosanostra, if you googled the Africa DNA map you will see what am saying here. I have posted African DNA map in the past and there cape coloured DNA, Xhosa admixture graph here in the past. That African map does show that Khoisan DNA in green and Bantu DNA in orange....you will see that south African Bantus have high khoi DNA that is evident even in looks they look different to other blacks.

i once saw a Xhosa gal do an ancestry dna test...results showed a low European level presence ..but apparently she very light...you expected a above 50% something European...
