Mama's good afternoon. .. Pls no waka pass me by... I'm a little worried about my tummy. It's been two weeks of postpartum and my tummy still looks like 5months pregnancy. I was doing the hot water session morning and night, plus pepper soup filled with uda but I'm still worried it hasn't made any difference. Although I started late, like 4days before the hot session cus I'm scared of the hot water thing after my experience with my first child. My question is, is there any other milder way of losing the liquid or fat in the tummy I can follow up with? .. i dont like my tummy skin after this hot water thing. I'm afraid my skin will never be the same. Pls experienced mamas help out. I need to start on time. I'm sure not everyone went through the pressing. I would rather drink hot water than pour on my skin. |

Ibadanboy2015:Hello, please take your son to an health centre or see a paediatrician not general doctor. To confirm if everything is fine before tagging it colic. My 1 month plus son was like that some weeks back but he sometimes vomits. When we got to the health centre, I was made to know the baby's navel did not heal well and infection set in. This navel my mil said was healed. If you've confirmed he's okay. Always burp him after feeding, whenever he feels discomfort you can gently massage his tummy with warm water. Place his tummy on your lap. Also check online for how to manage colic. Please babies feel heat, don't over cover him and don't expose him too much. Don't let them tell you this baby likes crying, he might be experiencing discomfort. Hope this helps. 4 Likes |

You can’t expect your tummy to be so flat after two weeks when you carried life in you for 9 months. Depending on how much weight you gained during pregnancy and how much your stomach expanded, please understand that your tummy might take months to go back to normal. And honestly sometimes your stomach can never go back to EXACTLY how it was pre pregnancy, and there’s nothing wrong with that, that’s the sacrifice of motherhood. All I can say is breast feed (if you are)and drink lots of water. Wait until you’re at least 6 weeks postpartum before exercising, that will make the biggest difference to your tummy. I Also wear belly binders if you can as it will hold everything in. And please don’t put too much pressure on yourself, be patient and allow things to happen gradually. HolySteph: 4 Likes |

HolySteph: I agree with mama ola.brinks, there's no miracle to achieving flat tummy. Wen I had my first child, I didn't press my tummy much bcoz of d tears I had and it didn't occur to me to tie my tummy, I battled bulging tummy for almost a year and after trying everything possible, I gave up on it. It became fully flat after I weaned my baby. What I'm saying in essence is, body differs. Some achieve flat tummy almost effortlessly but since ur body is still fresh of childbirth, keep pressing and wear a girldle always, keep ur mind away from it, focus more on being happy and u will be surprised in a short while. 1 Like |

shedy03: Same happened to my 8mnths Baby twice last month with high temperature, 3 different doctors said its heat that has been infected, the first prescribed antibiotics and anti malaria, after one week it came back this time I saw two different doctors they said same thing one of them prescribed antimalaria, calamine lotion to apply on affected area, Vit c, ampiclox as antibiotics ( d other doc prescribed augmentin) because he believed ampiclox was a better option for skin things... After my baby took them it came back again after a week we bought another calamine lotion. I noticed it increased on nights he wore thick clothes to bed, so I wore him light clothes at nights and light singlets during d day because it was on his forehead and all over his back. 1 Like |

prettymaxy:Thanks for your contribution. But my child is getting better now. I can't exactly say what was the remedy because I did multiple treatment on him I gave him augmentin, applied penicillin ointment, later used sikinel cream. Of course all along we bath him with crusader soap. Finally when going to bed, we apply Dustin power. Thank God he is ok now. |

Adesquare2:Worry can cause you not to lactate well so try not to be bothered about the flow. Relax and continue taking your liquids. Always put you baby to breast as much as you can cos the more the baby sucks, the more breastmilk your body receives signal to produce with adequate rest. Sooner or later your milk will flow well. Also, if you cannot keep up, continue mixing with formula. It doesn't make you any less of a good mummy. E hugs 1 Like |

Adesquare2: How much water do you take? The importance of water cannot be over emphasized Drinking a lot of water helps me, and adding soyabeans powder to my pap n oats helps a lot too. Stay hydrated, worry less, get as much rest as you can and you'll be fine. |

babyholar: Maybe he sleeps a lot at night and gets tired of sleeping during the day. Or he's having tummy issues. You can lie him up and move his legs like hes riding bicycle. How do/did you care for his navel after his cord fell off. Dd used to be fussy in the afternoon and MIL used to massage her tummy with not so hot water and she usually sleeps afterwards. 1 Like |

Hi mamas, im a very worried mom. My 2 year old started stuttering all of a sudden, and it seems to get worse each day. It started last week and now, he has to close his eyes stiff his head and some body parts to pronounce words he pronounced well in the past. Im so worried because i cant seem to figure out the cause. Nobody stutters in both families ie mine and his dad's so its not like its hereditary pro something. I have goggled a few stuff about but i need mamas with real life experience to help me with this. How long will i have endure this? Will he ever go back to talking normally? Is it some sort of sickness or lack of vitamins? So many questions to ask... I cant seem to wrap my head around this. Don't know how he'll cope in school after this corona ish stops and they resume because he wasn't like that before the compulsory break. I dont want him to grow up feeling inferior. Medical mama, experienced mamas, mamas that have heard stories or know someone that has gone through this before please help me. |
