Do You Support The Relaxing Of Lockdown For Religious Celebrations? by netpro(m): 3:21pm On Apr 09, 2020 |
With CoronaVirus still on rampage killing 1000s daily around the globe and no cure or vaccine yet in place, all that can be done now is to effectively stop the spread of the pandemic. But with religious activities like Easter around the corner, many State Governors are being pressured and lobbied to relax the restrictions already in place for the celebration. My question is, do you support the move and will it not lead to escalation in the spread of the virus? |

We had no business initiating a lockdown in the first place only to allow people congregate again. COVID-19 go take halftime on those days Wisdom is truly profitable to direct 1 Like

If the lockdown is relaxed for any reason except for the advice of health practitioners, then we are unserious and the entire lockdown should be cancelled altogether. 2 Likes 1 Share |

No they shouldnt. Some people can't handle privileges, they will over do it. If they relax it they shouldnt have arrested funke and her husband, she relaxed the law because of her celebration. Let them continue. 2 Likes |

Abia, Ebonyi and Kastina are already relaxing the lockdown. This is not right. Either there is a lockdown or there is none. |

Honestly our political leaders are not serious from the beginning. Some of them aren't thinking but just to show that they belong. My opinion may not be popular but this lock down in Nigeria isn't necessarily. I recommend we make palliative available to Nigeria especially the poor Nigeria to boost their immune system and improve ghetto current conditions of our health infrastructure. However, I strongly believe city like Lagos and Abuja should have such of measures to prevent interstate traveling. From the way our leaders are going about this their lock down, hunger will even kill some Nigerians and most people will revoke if this lock down continues 1 Like |

Large congregations (church and mosques), schools, events (centres) and political rallies are among the last set of activities any government would permit in the transition process. You don't expect the government to open all activities at the same time. Even in Wuhan, some forms of restrictions are still in place. |

netpro: States with no record of Covid-19 (e.g. Kogi) and those with very minimal and well identifed contacts can relax the lockdown. However, interstate travels should still come with some sort of restrictions. Kogi state and some states have no business restricting intra-city or intra state movements. It is baseless. |

By the way I'm not a doctor. However, as simple as eating balanced diet could help. And we know that this is a luxury to majority of Nigerian. Also at this period, vegetables can help. I take ginger and garlic also. My main point was that some Nigerian are finding it harder to eat this period and our useless leader aren't putting any reasonable palliative to help. Xisnin: |

Relaxing lockdown at the eve of religious celebration is a very stupid decision made by government officials. One should read best essays review now. Coronavirus outbreak is on its peak and under such circumstances not keeping social distancing would be a foolish thing. |
