My wife went to collect her SOA from access bank for study visa purposes...She was given mybankstatement with ticket number and password (just one page).they told her that d have delivered d SOA instantly to Canadian embassy in Nigeria...she was told to upload d document (mybankstatement) as her SOA...how will these Nairobi guys confirm her SOA since it was delivered to Lagos...who else have come across this |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Yads97: 12:01pm On Apr 10, 2020 |
Kaycevit: Wow. This is good. No need to panic. The MyBankStatement platform is a new method introduced by the Canadian embassy to accurately detect amount of funds present in a person’s account at a faster rate. So this only means your wife’s application will get processed quicker than normal (God willing). But in all, it is a good thing. 1 Like

Please be more explicit for you to get an answer to your Inquiry. 1. What program do you want to apply for with 12m? 2. In all applications, always answer truthfully. Disclose your previous denial to USA. rexericx: |

Francejaik: No worries for your statement of account, What they will give you is statement of account of that account, Meaning= they will give you statement of the money in that account, irrespective of where and who sends the money, so you are good to go on that one, Second part. Use the two employment letter, So long the working hours does not collide with each other, After all ,in Canada you can do more than 3 jobs.. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Tstunt: 3:15pm On Apr 10, 2020 |
Q1. Good afternoon my people. I have started my application for a student permit but I noticed something that gives me concern. My application doesn't have a medical request form on it as shown in the 1st attached picture but when I checked the application details I used when I was denied SP last year, I saw a column for medical request (see attached 2nd photo). Any reason for this change? Q2. My sponsor who is my sister has earmarked $20,000 for my sponsorship and I currently have around #1.2 million in my account. How this show enough financial capability for wanting to study in CAD? Q3. I was laid off February this year and although I got a job last month, the recent crisis has made it impossible to resume work there. My former employer said the can't give me a payslip because of the recent lockdown. Can I apply without the payslip? Because of switching my salary account while working in my former workplace, the VO will only see a few months of my salary in my account when I print my statement of account. How do i tackle this?

I saw a post just now as regards MyBank Statement Ticket to the Canadian Embassy 1)How can u explain to the V.O. using it.. to demonstrate L.E 2)And what advantage does it have over the traditional way of asking of SOA from Banks. 3) this is a total different question, I have heard someone talking about Flight fares , ticket and the likes.. Are we still gonna be talking about or demonstrate to d VO about Flight ticket fare to Canada. Thanks. |

Tstunt: 1-) Please ignore the previous medical request form you saw last year. You've not been asked to go for medicals, so you don't require medicals at this time. 2-) Your annual tuition and living expenses for your proposed program in Canada will determine whether the 1.2M and the $20,000 is sufficient to cover for your first year of study in Canada. 3-) You can apply for your VISA without pay slips. The 1.2M where is it saved? Is it in the salary account or personal savings. Salary statement is also not requirement for a study visa application considering that you're a sponsored applicant. Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Frankrobbn1: 5:52pm On Apr 10, 2020 |
Lekiboboe: 1-) I believe you're referring to the newly launched NIGERIA STUDENT EXPRESS VISA route?. You don't need much explanation when applying via this route. Once you've the $30,000CAD in your Mybank statement for a period of six (6) months. A brief explanation highlighting your Mybank statement with other supporting documentation is enough to demonstrate that you've the financial resources to undertake your program in Canada. Note: This program hasn't been officially approved to begin. 2-) The advantage the Mybank statement has over the regular statement of account is that with the ticket ID and password which has been specifically been addressed to the Canadian embassy for the purpose of your visa application. The Visa officer can easily access and verify the authenticity of your account and the funds available without needing further information from the bank . This is the easiest method introduced by the Canadian embassy to feasibly fish out applicants with fraudulent SOA. 3-) As an international student aspiring to travel to Canada for an advanced learning. Its mandatory that you must show proof of funds for the first year of study which includes your tuition and living expenses as well as your flight itinerary to and from of Canada. Frankrobbn1: Frankrobbn1: Thanks the baba himself. My annual tuition fee is 8,073 CAD for one year. Apart from the 20,000CAD from my sponsor, she will pay my first term tuition fee. I will be setting aside 10,000CAD for my living expenses. The 1.2M is in my new salary account as I started building the account 2 months ago. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Frankrobbn1: 6:25pm On Apr 10, 2020 |
Tstunt: In essence the $20,000CAD which has been set aside by your sponsor is sufficient for your first academic year. Please go ahead and include the three (3) months salary bank statement which has 1.2M as the closing balance in support of your flight itinerary and other miscellaneous expenses that might arise during the course of studies in Canada. While filling the IMM1294E, the financial section, the information you should fill in those columns should reflect the following figures: Tuition = 8,073CAD Room and Board = 10,000CAD Others = 3,000CAD Funds available for my stay = 24,500CAD I arrived at this figure, because I calculated the total sum of your annual tuition, room and board, the remaining 2kcad left from your sponsor and 4kcad which is the equivalent of the 1.2M in naira. It will end in praises. 3 Likes 1 Share |

My father has a building and several land properties. I am the first son... What document can serve as transfer of ownership or evidence of asset ?. |

Frankrobbn1: Amen... Tnx Boss Frank..for the enlightenment I would love to ask, Do u recommend My sponsor (Dad) us this MyBank Statement method for my Canada Study visa application instead of getting the usual Bulky SOA from the bank . NB: Am a single Applicant, jz thru with NYSC in March, am not employed yet. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Frankrobbn1: 8:04pm On Apr 10, 2020 |
Lekiboboe: MyBank Statement is a perfect means of showing POF especially for Canadian study Visa application. Your dad can absolutely use it in place of the regular SOA. Being that you're a fresh graduate, you don't need to show proof of current employment in your application. When filling your study permit IMM1294E form, remember to indicate NYSC as your current occupation and include supporting documents from your service to support this fact. It will end in praise 2 Likes |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Frankrobbn1: 8:13pm On Apr 10, 2020 |
Onweke: You can use your mom's pension SOA as an auxiliary to her main account statement for your Visa application. I wouldn't advice that you should submit only her pension as the primary POF because funds in pension account has restriction and can't be accessible in full during your studies in Canada. Documents to show transfer of ownership should be titled Deed of Gift. It will end in praise. 4 Likes |
